As bad as we have looked, no one in the NFC has looked dominant so far. Any team that makes the playoffs could end up in the superbowl (obviously that is true any year I just mean no heavy favorites).

Add Brad Jones to the IR---that total is now 11 players. (dont even want to know how many starters that is) "Burnett, Barnett, Poppinga, Grant, Finley, Harrell, Jones, (fill in the missing 4 and win a prize"

3 new linebackers to the backers....make that 4....."Hi, My Name is _________" on the way

Quote:
The Packer added their veteran in two days Wednesday afternoon by claiming nose tackle Howard Green off waivers from the New York Jets. Green will join the trio of linebackers the Packers also acquired as they desperately try to rebuild their depth following a spate of injuries.

Green took the roster spot of linebacker Brad Jones, whom the Packers placed on injured reserve a few hours after coach Mike McCarthy revealed he had a significant shoulder injury. Jones is the 11th player the Packers have lost for the season because of injury.

Green, 31, will provide some depth for a defensive line that could be without Ryan Pickett (ankle) and Cullen Jenkins (calf) on Sunday against the New York Jets. Neither player practiced Wednesday.
the trio obtained on tues:
Quote:
As a result, the Packers signed claimed Diyral Briggs off waivers from Denver and signed free agents Matt Wilhelm and Erik Walden. All three will focus on special teams, while the Packers' presumed starters will be Clay Matthews, A.J. Hawk, Desmond Bishop and Frank Zombo.
as seifert says:

Quote:
The Packers' motto for this season needs to be "Next man up." Either that or, "Mercy."

HMmm... Any word anywhere on whether Bigby or Harris are being brought back this week? Supposedly they are planning on moving Woodson into a safety role either at the end of this season or next, as he sucks in zone coverage and Capers seems to love Nickel/Dime lately.

thats an adjustment because the last few games weve only had 3 active linemen by halftime.

again i don think woodsons going to safety anytime soon, as bigbys coming back, harris looks to be a week or 2 away and surpringly tramon williams has stepped up huge as the #2 corner, #1 if you count lining up against moss for most the game

tramon is the #1 corner. i cringe everytime they have him returning punts or out there on special teams.

considering how capers uses woodson, i wonder if its not #1/#2, but different roles they fill

Still need to get some sort of rush on Sanchez 75% of the time this weekend.. REALLY don't think we win without blitzing 2/4 downs or atleast getting some sort of pressure on him 2/4 downs.

It was nice to see the defense make big plays. This is the kind of game where they would historically take a PI penalty, blow a coverage or some other brain dead move to blow it in the 4th.

yeah, feels like this is the first time the defense has won us a game in 10+ years.

Next week feels like a game that we manage to **** up every year.

There is absolutely no reason that we shouldn't beat the Cowboys by 30.

Even if they lose to the Boys, it aint so bad. If someone had told me 5-4 at the bye after all the injuries, I would have taken it.

The Dolphin game was the game that we manage to **** up every year. We need to beat Dallas, at home.

On another note, McCarthy has been running hot with the red flags, for once.

I know the Cowboys could easily be like 4-3 or something right now but let's not forget they are starting Jon Kitna and just got absolutely destroyed by the Jaxxxonville Jags

not a chance...

Would it help? Possibly, but really not worth it IMO with the drama he brings every damn place he goes.

id love to see randy on this team. with the problems driver is having and the fact that james jones is so inconsistant, randy would open up everything for jennings.

how many years has he been in the nfl where he wasnt a locker room problem?

regardless, it wont happen.
