no wonder why were the worst in the nfl on 3+3 and under
if the Packers lost this was to blame, these 3rd and short failings over and over again!!! Jackson keep getting almost 5ypc, I still think they need to run more, tonight was a better job!!!

while im starting to trust our O line a tad more i dont exactly trust them in short yardage to always run behind Colledge etc, but getting the run outside on tosses/option bootlegs should still be a key part, obviously running between the tackles is still a necessity in these situations, but i bout lost my voice when we ran the the same Kuhn handoff on 4+1 the second time

yeah moronic call to give to Kuhn again. but I don't necessarily mean to run on 3rd and short, but long ball every time is soooo bad!!!

I feel like GB dominated this game, but got very very lucky to win. Kinda weird combo, but whatever.

I could watch that Desmond Bishop pick six all night. I'll go into work on zero sleep, I don't even care.

Looks all the same in the W column. Had to work last night. No work was done from 8:30 to midnight.

I was watching it in a theater that broadcasts Packer games...the place just exploded when that happened. Something I'll never forget. I wanted these things to happen so badly last year. I'm on zero sleep as well.

btw that bizarro flynn to quarless fake FG was super sweet and really should have worked...but seriously even I thought there was a good chance of a fake there, how did the vikings look like they were caught so off guard???

This. Like Flynn was going to run it? lol

I thought there was a good chance he might punt it.

Was there wind in Crosby's face? Despite the fact that the fake worked so well (except for the whole RUNNING ALONE IN SPACE IS HARD part), I don't see any reason not to kick it from 55.

I think McCArthy realllllly wanted to prove that his team was better.. that he could "out-coach" Childress... In reality, it really means JACK sh*t, but ultimately worked out. What I do think though, is that it sets that thought in the back of Childress's mind (in this case.. really, any coach), that although McCarthy is a pretty standard coach, he can pull off such a play and that's a decent card to have up your sleeve moving forward, imo.

Overall, good game by the pack... I agree with the above post, that they seemed to dominate the game but barely won...

Just read we were basically playing with 3 D Linemen.. but jeesus, can we rush 2 LB's once in a while nad pressure the QB? Favre had ALL day to throw for most of that game, and we are a terrible zone coverage team imo.

As per ESPN
Quote:
Go ahead and add two more players to the Green Bay Packers' stunning season-ending injury list. Linebacker Brady Poppinga (knee) and defensive lineman Mike Neal (shoulder) are both scheduled for surgery to repair significant injuries, coach Mike McCarthy told reporters Monday.

Poppinga suffered his injury two weeks ago against the Miami Dolphins and doctors found more damage than originally anticipated. A reserve when the Packers have a healthy starting lineup, Poppinga was filling in for the injured Clay Matthews in that game and finishes the year with 14 tackles and one sack.

Neal, the Packers' second-round draft choice, was limited to only two games as a rookie because of rib and shoulder injuries.

The Packers now have nine players who are either on injured reserve or are destined to be stowed there. It's possible that they'll get back two previously injured players, cornerback Al Harris and safety Atari Bigby, in time for Sunday's game at the New York Jets
I agree w/ the sentiment about trying to get pressure on favre. what was noted was GB is such depleted by injuries that capers has to go to a more basic scheme to counter for peprah's/bush's (soon to be bigby's) / and AJ Hawks Liability in coverage. I saw Tramon williams on moss quite a bit, idk if thats a height thing or if they were bracketing him w/ a line backer more than a saw

It's true that the Cros make one from like 59 (?) earlier in the year but I'd have to think they have a better chance of converting a 4th and 7 than making that FG. I mean our passing offense is supposed to be pretty good. And a punt is out of the question, of course we can't just like draft a good punter so we're not gonna be able to get a guy who could pin them deep, odds are a touchback there which would net us like 20 yards.

Second'd also.. on if Flynn can actually pooch a kick somewhere if he see's decent coverage before he's ready to snap. Interesting.

Crosby can kick the **** out of the ball. Whether or not it goes straight is a different issue, but I'm basically as confident in him from 55 as from 40 at this point.

Favre has two fractures in ankle

Doesn't need surgery, will probably wrap it up and gimp-fail through a few more games. Hope he's still playing on week 11 for the 2nd GB game.

God, yes. I hate myself for saying this but somehow I love it if the injury that forced Favre to end his unreal streak came at the hands of the Packers. I mean even AP is gonna be worse if teams don't have to worry about Favre to Harvin or Moss every play. Let the TJax era begin

I really don't think TJax can be worse than Favre at this point.

I agree that it'd be kinda funny if we ended his streak, but I want good ol' havin-fun-out-there starting for GB@MIN. My feelings could change if TJax is lolterrible between now and then.

Found it awesome Chilly kind of threw Favre under the bus, but Favre is the only reason Chilly still has a job.

Huge win. Next week should be fun with the Jets coming off the bye.

Major props to both lines. I thought pretty much everyone but Rodgers played really, really well. Not that Rodgers played awful, but certainly far from good.

Few penalties, a couple breaks, and a win in a game decided by <7...woot.

My sentiments exactly...the Pack looks decent right now despite the fact that they've never really come out all cylinders firing right now, just like the first half of last season. Our schedule is tough but if they pick it up the way they did last year who knows?

Hopefully Nacho plays really badly. Other than that I think we're outmatched.

Overmatch sure, but I think are OFF can hang with their D... but might be hard pressed to hold them for the entire game

Have you watched the same Packers team I have been?

Yep... It's funny... Rodgers , albeit more inept this year than the past, with the Loss of Finley, seems to be back to his "Throw more slants and take advantage of the fact we have 4 decent recievers" ways... Jame Jones going for 105 on 4 catches last week, etc... I think /w Jackson being an OK runner will help....

Side note.. possibly one of the greatest avatars above me.
