so hard not to troll right now.

Serious question: what does this mean for Capers?

It is impossible to troll anyone in this thread about this. It's not like the Bears thread where there are a bunch of Tresstman supporters, we all think Fat Mike is a moron.

We did win one Super Bowl with him as HC, why not another? And yes I realize the why not list is many pages long.

Not thrilled and not surprised. oh well. Hopefully with Big Mike + Rodgers we continue to be good for years to come. He's an awful game manager but there really are way worse coaches in the league. He has 0% elite equity but he also has very low nuke-the-team from within equity. Also I know I rip on Big Mike a lot but I would like to note that I have softened ever so slightly when it comes to his stubborness. Yes he reacts at a snail's pace and yes, he learns even slower - but he does react, and he does learn. Now I'm making him sound like a wise old Ent which is possibly the worst analogy in the history of the world . But, example - I loved when he went for it on our own 40 against the Saints. The play call was comical, but the idea was there - and I think Arodg is going to continue to assume more offensive control as he grows more experienced/smarter. hopefully that proves to be a big mitigating factor. As far as Capers goes, no comment. (and Ted definitely needs to draft better interior talent IMO - always been his weakness).

lastly, a note. I customarily give Big Mike a three game grace period after every extension to not do anything stupid. After that he becomes Fat Mike again. just in case you guys were confused

Of course they're casual fan brains, but commenters on espn ripped the one guy who said McCarthy isn't elite. Their whole argument was basically "they always make the playoffs".

As Limon says, the games will always be good.

Title change to "Green Bay Packers - Assassinate McCarthy"

Apparently that's the only way he's leaving.

kind of interesting

-Manning/Brady are genius
-Stafford is chokey
-wonder how much Rodgers' line is hurt by McCarthy. anyone else get the feeling that if Rodgers(or any qb really) had Peyton as qb coach it would be a sick boost. like imagine of Rodgers learned how to never listen to McCarthy's stupid plays.

If Rodgers went to TT and said McCarthy should be fired would it actually happen? To us it seems like an obvious no brainer but I don't think it would happen.

TT would probably fire Rodgers before McCarthy.

hey just wanted to congratulate you guys on extending an ESPN top 5 coach in the league. It's gonna be rough sledding in the NFCN for as long as McCarthy is around, regardless of whether Rodgers gets concussed out of the league and takes his super straight "assistant" with him.

Before Rodgers signed his extension, yes. Now probably only if he is willing to retire otherwise.

Lions pulls another win out of their ass.

49ers pull a win out of their ass.

Seahawks will probably win this game.

Still a ways to go but I'm feeling a little uneasy.

As long as we keep Rodgersing we'll be fine. Just hope we don't face the niners in the playoffs.

Please recall the only NFL playoff victory this team has had since the Super Bowl was against a JOE WEBB quarterbacked Vikings team.
