I love Fat Mike. Hoarding time outs going into half is the best.

In light of A-Rod's comments today, I will ask again:

Is he not allowed to call audibles?

Rodgers is deep down a whiny beta cuck, Fat Mike is obviously a dumbass who is actively sabotaging the team but it's painfully obvious that Rodgers is unwilling to do anything about it but passive aggressively whine to the media. Which is a shame as he had tremendous leverage these past five years if he choose to exercise it.

Yep Rodgers is part of the problem too.

Has guys open all the time but always wants the deep play.

They have two offensive linemen that aren't scrubs. None of the top four receivers could run a 4.6 40 today. Those look like the problems on offense to me

Rodgers is basically turning into Favre 2.0, it feels like

Yep. Threw a pass wide and gave the stink face when the WR couldn't get 2 feet in.

He's a snowflake that needs everything perfect and him to be the hero every game.

So, we're gonna finish last in the division this year. Cool.

Sucks to lose but kinda just have to say lolvariance when you gain twice as many yards as the other team but lose because you miss a bunch of kicks and have three turnovers, one of which was a terrible call.

Defense continues to look decent. I hope they give MVS some playing time, dude is a freak.

doubt MVS has earned enough trust yet, better play three guys who run a 4.8

Must be nice to literally have a single person keeping him employed for 5+ years

"I think we'd like to, if we had 70 plays in a game, just hypothetically -- I don't know who the opponent is or exactly who we're lining up -- but hypothetically, you'd like to run the ball 30 times and throw it 40 times as a starting point," McCarthy said.

That is a real quote from an ESPN article attributed to fatmike. He has the greatest QB to ever play the game and his target is to throw the ball on only 57% of plays.

I mean, I expected to lose, but how the **** is montgomery so stupid to take that ball out of the end zone and how ****ing stupid were the coaches not to tell him.

I'll defend Montgomery. standard high upside (...) low risk play, fumble happens prob .5% there. he's 1 yard in the endzone, absent instruction from the coaches it's pretty reasonable to take it out. I certainly don't expect him to consider the clock and the two minute warning there.

the coaches on the other hand, wow. It really is shades of the fake fg from the NFC champ game in seattle. if you instruct a knee there you have two minutes and Rodgers in a great spot. upside is a miracle return with a returner in the bottom 10% of athleticism. I actually don't think I've seen a Packers kickoff return since desmond howard. just horrible, horrible pure downside -EV coaching. And on top of that, there was 2:05 so you are burning your free time out.

Him returning it for a TD would be bad because the Rams would have plenty of time to drive right down the field and win it.

haha true.

Actually I'm reading now that the coaches directly told him to take a knee? in that case, it's a pretty unacceptable **** up. Though you could probably argue that they weren't clear enough (return this from the EZ and your cut...)

I mean, these are NFL players. If a coach says, "Don't do X," nothing else should ****ing need to be said. Especially considering the history of Brandon Bostick where a player cost the game by not doing what their coaches told them to do. There are literally 0 positive outcomes attainable from taking the ball out of the end zone.

Montgomery needs to be cut the moment the plane lands in GB. Pretty much anything else is unacceptable. He's the 3rd string RB, at best, and would be buried on the depth chart at WR. He missed a key block on a blitz that allowed Godgers to get sacked and cost GB 6 points. And now you can't even just do your job and listen to what the coaches tell you to do? gtfo

Montgomery isn't worth anything and it sounds like everyone hates him now so he's probably gotta go.

I don't feel bad about this team team at all. They're like six seed quality and had some rough luck so they'll hit the under. Whatevs

Next year they should be better, like a second tier contender. Great rookie class this year, an extra first round pick, and they have zero good players hitting free agency.

really nice article written by one of my favorite Packers ever, Sam Shields, about his long journey back to the NFL. Cool story, and seeing Sam play yesterday was one of the highlights of the game for me.

When I was watching the play I thought he was close enough to the goal line for me to be OK with whatever he did there regardless of the coach's instructions. It's an instinctual snap judgement, and the last thing you want to do is create a situation where you are indecisive in your split second decision leading to first and ten at the 1/2 yard line. Or worse, a safety. If it's near the goal line and you aren't 100% sure it's a touchback then you should return it. These guys should have an aggressive mindset.

Felt the same way about the Bostick play. He was trying to make a play at a ball that came right to him. I'm fine with that.

Now, seeing terrible missed block on Donald (not even a missed block, he just ignored him like a moron) and the resulting temper tantrum, that's much worse and if that tantrum contributed to his decision then **** him, he should be cut.
