Packers president says "Fat Mike is our coach. He's our guy". They might hire a new GM but doesn't sound like the GM will be in a position to get rid of fad mike

Well I am a little concerned with putting a guy in charge of the roster that is wea in evaluating football talent. I don't care who the coach is, winning a Super Bowl with an inferior roster is like not going to happen. I suppose it depends on how they structure the front office though. To me, better to get a really top notch GM and let them evaluate McCarthey. Pretty sure they would see the flaws with him. McCarthey is Thompson's guy not the next GM's guy.. McCarthey is probably at best a lame duck coach.

Ball is promoted to director of footbaw operations and he and Gutekunst both report directly to Murphy. McCarthy also now reports directly to Murphy, meaning that Gutekunst does not have the authority to fire FAT MIKE even if he wanted to. McCarthy is effectively promoted after a losing season and 5 years of underachieving mediocrity. Bad!
