Read a recent item on Sportrac estimating his value at $65 million for 4 years. So the number seems about right.

Bye-Bye Nelson or Cobb or both. I think Nelson for sure and probably Cobb too. Maybe Cobb at a much reduced salary but really Rodgers and Cobb don't seem to be on the same page too often. Jordy is 33 and is showing it. Packers can't afford all 3 and certainly want to free up some cap space.

It is fair to state that Hundley has question marks as a backup. To me was it is a matter of how much did an inferior receiving corp contribute to his performance. Rodgers no doubt is very effective at extending plays when his receivers are covered. Rodgers has seemingly had to do more of that as the years have gone by. Hundley not being as good as Rodgers at it is to be expected. Also Rodgers has stated that he may have to change the way he plays. He was injured trying to extending a play. Having more receivers get some separation would mean Rodgers has to do less in extending plays and make Hundley's job easier when he has to play.

Where in the world is the Jordy doom and gloom coming from?

Jordy just put up 1257 yards (5th in the league) and 14 TDs (1st in the league) last year. This year, while down a bit in yardage, he had 230 yards and 6 TDs through the first 5 games. His numbers only plummeted when Hundley took over QB, as Jordy has a total of 0 TDs since Hundley took over QB.

Cobb, meanwhile, his BEST season since he signed his extension in 2015, is 829 yards and 6 TDs (in 2015). They 100% get rid of Cobb before Jordy and it's not even close.

I think the Jordy talk is pretty crazy. Sure, he had a bad stretch with Hundley but cutting him and Cobb would leave the WR unit in bad shape. Allison would be the number 2?

There are some rumors the new DC could be Vic Fangio. I wanted the Packers to hire him in 2014 after the debacle in the NFC Championship game but the Bears got him. His defenses in SF were sick, granted they were stack with talent. But he's also done good things in Chicago with only a few good players.

I think the argument supporting letting Jordy & Cobb go is that you can get WRs just as good as them for significantly less since those guys values are inflated since they've been playing with the GOAT for so long. If chemistry between QB & WR wasn't a thing we should get new WR every year, but since chemistry is real I think we hold onto Jordy and let go Cobb if we can get someone close to him to replace him.

GB has the 14th pick in the draft. No idea what direction they go. Either O-line or LB prob?

they'll probably take a couple of DBs in the first two rounds

At least GB losing out means I get to watch them play @washington this year.

FAT MIKE has to go through the evaluation process. Won't happen till next week. Which is super ****ty if he knows Capers is going to get fired because this is the biggest week for coaching hiring. It's better for both parties if he's fired today. But FAT MIKE, so we won't hear anything till next week.

Yes but won't necessarily come to pass this year. Rodgers has one year left and if the Packers want to sign him to an extension then he might want McCarthey. Also, supposedly Eliot Wolf has been groomed as TT's successor. Wolf might want MM.

I do think though that there is a decent chance MM is going too, this year.

Who do you want as a replacement, Edgar Bennett?

Based on nothing but feels I'd say Mike gets one year to prove himself to the new GM.

One positive thing is that hiring an internal candidate is consistent with management giving FAT MIKE a prove it year. It would be hard to hire a quality external candidate without extending McCarthy's contract.
