Then the excuse is just that the QB is still not as good as Rodgers or that the new QB couldn't become familiar with the offense in time.

The only thing that could get McCarthy fired is a losing season with a healthy Rodgers the entire year, and even that would probably take 2+.

I'm not even sure if that would be enough, maybe that would be enough to get Capers fired. Have to just hope we can luckbox another ring with McCarthy.

If we had an intact O-line then I'd say sure, we have a shot, but as the lineup currently stands (or is not standing), then no. I mean hell, it took Godgers-level play just to eek out some of these wins. There's no way a non-Godgers with a practice squad-level O-line will do much of anything.

This is a big reason why it would be pointless to sign Kap. When we barely had an edge WITH Rodgers, it's not like Kap could come in and save the season. Might as well give Hundley a shot. He's in his third year on this team now, knows the offense (one would assume), and the coaches have been confident enough in him to not even have him in a battle for the backup spot. I really don't think Kap would be able to come in and be better (let's not forget, Kap kind of sucks).

And even if Kap WAS better, would we really be able to make the playoffs? Doubtful.

But Kaep would be a substantial upgrade for a backup.

I can't help but think that if #FatMike would design a game plan around Hundley and stick to it, they could still win enough to make the playoffs. Outside of the awful interception, it wasn't that bad of a game for him.

Run the offense similar to what he's used to. Let him use his legs. Win.

They couldn't win a game when the awful defense generated turnovers. I honestly don't think they will win another game this season.

half of those wins are from Matt Flynn torching the Lions in a meaningless game (for the Packers, it actually mattered to the lollions). It is worth noting that Aaron Rodgers called the plays that game. aka the game where Aaron Rodgers made Matt Flynn 10 million dollars.

on games that Rodgers was not started involuntarily (that is, not counting the Lions game on the 15-1 season) McCarthy is 2-6-1. On games that Rodgers didn't FINISH the game Fat Mike is 2-9-1
