I think Everett's defense gives him a distinct edge over Santiago since Santiago doesn't have much pop at all either (he hit a HR last year for the first time in 2-3 years). I think the same holds true for Inge and Larish. I'd rather have Thames, but Anderson's speed is intriguing. I'm willing to wait it out.

the problem for the tigers is this.

our pitching sucks, worst in the division rotation wise by far.

offensively, we have taken a step back from last year, defensively, we should be loads better with miggy not playing 3rd, and a vacuum cleaner in Everitt along with inge and polanco around the infield.

the sad reality is, if we were in the west, we'd be 500

in the central its going to be 70-90 kind of year

I mean, I get it - the Tigers' pitching is absolutely ****ing awful, so they are forced to start Porcello. That's the reason you sign guys like Carl Pavano and don't trade all your fringe pitchers (Anthony Reyes, Aaron Laffey, David Huff, Scott Lewis, etc). The Indians' rotation is not good by any stretch of the imagination, but we have a ton of #4 or #5-type guys in AAA ready to do battle and not embarrass the team out there.

The Tigers have Dontrelle Willis - who probably couldn't get drafted at this point - and a 20 year old phenom whose development is probably permanently ****ed because of Dombrowski's inability to plan for the future. It's like if Brandon Morrow had never gone to college but the Mariners stuck him in the big leagues a year into his development
