Who is the sabermetric-guy on this board? I came up with a new shortcut to evaluate hitters: If he has more strikeouts than basehits, he most likely sucks. Despite the fact that HRs get ignored, this is a pretty reliable.

Currently qualifying are: Avila, Castellanos and JD (obviously because of that massive slump).
