Maybe he is pressing too much. Maybe he simply needs to face a different type of pitcher again, like the Cleveland fastballers.

Ted Williams had a recipe for guys in a slump: Use a closed stance and move away from the plate a bit. That buys you a bit more reaction time. Still I don't believe in making big adjustments. In games with high variance, trial&error is not the way to go.
