one great thing about the amazing career trajectory of Don Kelly is that winning the WS would be a very significant $ uptick for his total career earnings. It will nearly double this year's salary. Obv there's always some guy on the winner that runs good this way, just would be great to see in the lovable form of DK.
Sure i'm not the only one poring over stats from our season series w/ TEX. obv lol sample size.
--1st obv great looking item, is we did real well against all their starters not named Ogando, who's not starting in this series. guess we'll see bunch of him 1 way or the other.
--I didn't realize b4 now that 3 of their 4 slated starters are lefties. I thought that would be overly positive for our lineup, but on the year we've hit lefties and righties almost equally. 2 righties that hit signif better v. lefties are Young and Maggs. AJ hits better v. lefties, albeit less pronounced. Our 1 lefty bat we need to get going is Avila, who does hit signif better v. righties. however he hit .385 in season series vs. TEX.
--We can take heart in the 8-1 game Porcello pitched @ TEX. Their whole lineup was healthy at that juncture, as now.
