MLB adding another WC team starting next year. It was to be a 1 game play-in type thing unless they shorten the regular season a few games.

Shortening the season to 154 games would be perfect...it'd just completely suck since players wouldnt be able to get the same stats that they have since it has been 162 games.

Or they could keep it at 162 but play a few scheduled DH's throughout the season, which is what I think they should do if I could choose between the 2.

Random Q...but has anyone played in a ice hockey league? Like a relaxed league with no checking?

I've never even ice skated before but me and a few friends are kind of interested in playing. If not in a league then a place where you're allowed ice time with a net to shoot at.

I guess I should prolly just call the taylor sportsplex since that's the only rink i know of around here.

nvm, i just looked it up and there's an 18+ non checking league at the TSX.....season already started though. got some time to round up some ppl to play reg fee is $2k per team.

Yeah, I'd say the cheapest you can get a full set of adult pads and skates plus a stick is like $300-500. That's assuming gently used equipment. All new stuff would be like $1k-1500.
