As if Detroit hasn't been through enough, now they get exposed to extra WNBA basketball. How sad.

The Fever coach looks like she should be doing commercials for the Medic-Alert bracelet or Depends or something. If she falls, she's not going to be able to get back up.

Edit: Scratch that last part, she's sprier than I thought. She's the old bat at Bingo night who'll beat you to death with her purse if you even think about winning the blackout game.

Hmm Katie Douglas lighting us up a bit in the first, 6 points and two ice cold 3's.

Whatever, just delaying the inevitable Shock victory. Tweety Nolan can only be contained for so long.

Bit strange the stands are so empty. Must be inclement weather or a massive traffic jam from everyone trying to get to the game.

The creativity in this game is astonishing. That Indiana PG looked like she was going up for a wide open layup but instead tossed it completely over the basket in an apparent alley-oop attempt that her teammate wasn't quite prepared for.

I heard they didn't have a regulation size game ball ready but both teams wanted to play anyway. These girls are gamers.

It would be okay if for the rest of the game every time they need to show a shot of the bench they just ignored Mahorn and showed Katie Schmif instead.

Weren't the Shock terrible at the start of the year? I was shocked to see they were in the playoffs.

They started the season slow but rounded into form down the stretch and now are believed to be legitimate contenders, if the pundits and sportsbooks are to believed.

This despite the Laimbeer defection midseason - he really shouldn't even be in the subject line anymore really.

Nothing can rattle these girls. The chemistry, the solid fundamentals, the unselfishness, the crisp passing. They define teamwork. Just a joy to watch.

46-41. Utter domination in the 3rd.

As a side note, I knew Kara Braxton growing up. She used to be obsessed with my brother when they were younger. Not really a brag, but I've always found it funny.
