Also, Schwartz is really, really tilting me with his 4th down decisions.

4th & 1 foot on their 48 and he punts.

4th & 10 from their 40 and he punts.

the only 2 certainties for next year are that schwartz is staying and we won't be drafting a QB in the top 10.

enough with the hyperbole, grear. we win a game and you act like we're conference contenders, but after every loss the whole organization needs shaken up.

when healthy, lions are a mediocre team with a poor defense and even worse running game. one more good offseason/draft and those areas should be respectable.

6-10 is still a possibility. We'd probably be thinking of 9-10 wins with Stafford

hip simple math says that its a no brain decision to go for it. are you really gonna say he should be punting on 4th and 12 inches inside the opponents territory?

and i didnt say the organization needs to be shaken up lol, wtf??? i simply said schwartz is tilting me with his 4th down decision especially since he was supposed to be a big math guy.

and if somehow we do select #1 i wouldnt put it past us taking Luck. Doesn't mean he would play for us....and I do thing wed be able to pull off a trade, but I don't think us selecting him is out of the question.

I think Andrew Luck is the most polished QB i've ever seen coming into the draft though. We could have a San Diego situation occur.

If they drafted Luck id let him sit for the first 6-8 games next season. If Stafford gets injured again he can step in. If Stafford lights it up we can make our decision to keep him and trade Luck for a 1st/2nd rounder.

Some team would 100% give that up for Luck.

We aren't many players away. Our rushing attack will improve next year just because Best is healed, assuming he doesn't get hurt again. Could use a linebacker or somebody in the secondary. Things are looking up and we can make the playoffs next year.

Bottom line is if we don't have a healthy QB it doesn't matter who the **** we draft or what the **** we do, we simply will not win. That is the bottom line of it all.

Right, just like we would never take 3 WRs in the top 10 in 3 straight years and 4 in the top 10 in 5-6 years.

Right bro, never ever would we selected maybe the GOAT talent at #1 in the draft......ever. Just makes no sense to take GOAT when GOAT is sitting there for you.

There's prolly only a 5% chance we get the #1 pick though so it doesnt really matter.

This is just a continuation of the greear school of football. When you think that the entire game is played between a coach and a quarterback, you should always draft QBs.

Ike, do you not realize that even if we take Luck, we are going to get value back from either him or Stafford? It's not like we are going to have both for the next 5 years.

If you take Luck then get Greg Jones rd 2...best Corner rd 3...there are more than 1rd ike.

Lions probably don't take Luck because they'll stop running bad and will likely finish 5-11/6-10.

You've got some nice rose colored glasses there. Switch the wins to toss-up and the toss-ups to losses and then I agree. As currently constituted, including the injuries, the Lions are one of the worst teams in the NFL. The record might have been a lie early in the season but I don't think it's lying anymore. Anywhere from 2-14 to 4-12 seems about right to me.
