We were a better team than the chiefs today.

We cannot over come a 14 point swing vs anyone.

This is a good barometer game though. We played a super bowl favorite tough and should have won

Us being 2-1-1 after four seems about right.

If we beat the packers next game we have a real shot at the north.

Also us

Finish 6-9-1

Almost unbelievable they did not account for the possibility Mahomes may run on 4th and 8.

Gotta believe Tavon Wilson ****ed up his assignment - double teaming Darrel Williams at the expense of leaving the QB alone seems beyond stupid.

10 second run off on auto-review

Am I missing any?
Can we add the dead-play 100-yard fumble recovery?

That was an odd one. I'm not 100% sure it was the wrong call, but definitely one of those strange game flipping plays that make all the difference. There was no whistle, but at least one of the refs had begun acting like the play was dead. That crew is definitely garbage. Kerryon's got to know not to reach there though.

Another oddity in this one was a repeat of the Anthony Hitchens in your face non-PI on a game flipping play.

I was loving all the ball punching Detroit was doing on defense. Glover Quin's legacy lives on through the current defensive backfield. That was what won the Philly game, and almost beat KC. It's a safe bet opposing teams are going to be watching out for it in the future, but I hope they don't let up.

This JD McKissic guy has been a hell of a weapon here. It's a small sample size but every game he's seen some action he's had some splash plays. Hopefully he can become a bigger part of the offense. I still don't believe in this run game yet, but knowing we've got someone like him on the team gives me hope.

Hopefully the Hock concussion isn't too serious. It seems like most players make it back after two weeks, especially for their first one. No more hurdling players bud. It looks cool when it works, but the extra 3-4 yards isn't worth getting slammed to the turf from an elevated height.

I feel about the same as I did about this team in 2017 when they lost on the 10 second runoff vs. ATL. They came in to that game 2-0 and just went toe to toe with the defending NFC champs. With A-Aron hurt it felt like the division was theirs for the taking, but they couldn't put it together. Their inability to run up the score and put away games came back to haunt them. I see a lot of similarities with this season so far. The difference that year between 5-11 & 12-4 (they ultimately finished 9-7) was like 10 plays.

They have a real chance of coming off the bye at 100% health, although I have a sinking feeling Mike Daniels may miss some extended time. Get healthy, and go into GB and get it done!

This play might have pissed me off more than any other in the game.

Not that it happened, Not that it wasnt called, Not that Patricia didnt challenge.

It's that he knew a challenge was futile. The entire throw a flag to 'challenge PI' is a ****ing joke. 100% that dude collided with the receiver before the ball was there and still not worth throwing red flag. NFL just seems to dig deeper into shitpile every time they try to improve replay.

Watching the Steelers v ravens

Two plays challenged. Both are incomplete passes.

They get both calls

The lions get those calls 0%

It’s really astounding the riggage

Hate to say 'must win' when it's only week 6 but Lions need to prove something Monday in GB.

Losing now just puts them on track for 7-8-1 and a low 20s pick in 2020

It doesn't quiet seem must win, but a win would at least confirm the narrative that this team is for real and is here to compete. A loss wouldn't be the end of the world, it's probably the toughest division game they have. But given this tendency to drop winnable games late in the schedule that knocks them out of division contention, it would be nice to play with a division lead.

As seems to be the case, the year the Lions start getting hot GB is back to playing at a near elite level. It's frustrating because on one hand you want to be battle tested going into the post-season, but if they played in a softer division, I think the last decade looks a lot different.

Matty P kicks a FG 4th and goal from the 1.5 and pack win by 1. SOL.

Never seen a more rigged NFL game then what I just saw tonight. Lions truly are the Washington Generals of the NFL.

The lions got jobbed

That 3rd down catch by KJ they called a drop

If we are the pats or the Steelers. That’s a catch

If Green Bay picked that ball up.

It’s a catch

Lions did enough to win

I know it’s standard to blame the refs but they really stole this game

Lions should be up by 9 with the ball on their own 15 with 9 minutes to go.

It’s too bad because the season is pretty much over now.

Over the final 44m21s lions had 75 yards total offense
13 first downs vs 22 for GB
0 turnovers vs 3 for GB
2:6 turnover margin last 2 games and both resulted in losses
6:11 on the year and we're still just .500

Blame the refs all we want but good franchises don't put themselves in these situations week after year after decade.

Never seen a team so close to being 0-5 as 5-0 but somehow dead even @ .500

Its far from over. This was by far the toughest game still on their schedule and it just slipped away. Their 2 losses so far were to arguably 2 of the top 4 teams in the NFL, and they hung close in both. I know, no moral victories in the NFL. But this team is still more good than bad.

The division is going to be tough now unless the Packers drop some games down the stretch, but 11 wins is not unrealistic looking down the schedule. They play some pretty awful teams. Even if they lose their road division games thats 11-4-1 which should be good for a wildcard. We just need them to take care of business and not have another SOL moment like they did in Arizona.

Their non divisions games left are Raiders, Skins, Giants, Bucs, Cowboys, and Broncos. Thats mostly bottom tier teams. The rest of the division still has to play the Chiefs. Im not giving up hope yet.

I see us winning 8 or 9. We played two good teams close. We beat a 3-3 Eagles,2-4 Chargers, and tied the Cards. We play in a tough divison where we may end up 4th.

This week is a must win home divisional game and were currently getting +1. We lose this week playoffs are dead.

Counterpoint

We are awful

After a day to thinks bout it

We aren’t good
Stanford isn’t elite

If stafford was elite

You get the ball with 6 minutes left. Up by 2

Green Bay never touches the ball again and you win

That’s what Rodgers did to us

I don’t care you got jobbed. Just win a ****ing game

2nd and 10
From Minnesota 30.

-1 yard run. And holding penalty

Fat **** declined the penalty

So instead of 2-20 it’s 3-11

Here’s a free 9 yard play

Then they obv convert.

They have had 4 straight 75 yard td drives, correct? Only chance is we score every drive too, manage to tie it up end of 4th quarter, win coin toss, win on 1st drive of OT. At this point any drive for usthat doesn't end with a TD ends the game, we cant stop them.

We've all said it before, including me many times, but I think I'm out, at least for this year. That was the most frustrating game to watch in a long time. Minnesota was just thoroughly and completely better, particularly their O vs our D. We can't cover, we can't tackle and we can't get pressure. Tough combo. And makes for unwatchable football.

Does flowers actually play for the lions

I literally never hear his name called. Ever

Sweet one sack in 6 games bro.

Well we were told he wasnt a top tier pass rusher, but got consistent pressure and was stout in run D. Lets see how that run D is doing...

4.9ypc.

****

Yep. As of now it looks like they broke the bank on someone playing at a rotational level. cool.
