so glad i didn't purchase tickets to this meaningless game in dallas. would be sololions when we beat them then lose to GB week 17.

rumor is 95% chance det vs GB is flexed to SNF week 17. hopefully it's not since that means we beat dallas and gb loses to the vikes.

so, b2b primetime games to finish the season is pretty wild. ford field is gonna be rocking week 17. biggest game ever in the stadium and biggest home game since '93? pack are not the same team on the road as at home. need slay healthy by then pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease.

I find it hard to believe that Caldwell is the best coach available for us next season.

Wow id love if the Gb vs lions game is moved to primetime. Much easier for me to catch a primetime game here with the 12 hour time diff from the states.

this whole caldwell thing:

we have run above expectation
our schedule was front end easy (last year was front end death)

Like if we switched games 14-16 with games 11-13

going into week 14 we are probably 6-7 and all but eliminated because of two losses to GB.

We just happen to have the confluence of easy beginning season schedule + running hotter than the sun

If TB & SEA lose today and Lions beat Dallas we clinch playoffs. Then if we beat GB we clinch 1st round bye.

edit- that's incorrect. would also need ATL to lose week 17 vs NO, but even if they don't, we somehow have 42% chance of 1st round bye.

hey, finally some help!

beat dallas and we clinch playoff spot. dallas has nothing to play for anymore.

win out and we clinch division. if Atl loses to NO week 17 we'd have 1st round bye. somehow, even if ATL and SEA win week 17, we'd still have 30% chance of 1st round bye.

Only way we miss playoffs is we lose out, and WAS wins at home vs NYG. In play, but so are the first round bye scenarios.

made like 4 sports bets this year, all lions related. 3-1 so far.

wagering an uncomfortable amount on lions o19.5 total points and doing a smaller bet to win straight up @ +230.

no slay or riddick but in matthew i trust.

No, not much good happened. Despite all the good Quinn did this year it was pretty clear the team just had too many holes to fill this offseason. Combine that with our top 3 defensive players battling injuries all year and this was bound to happen. Gonna take a lot of luck to do anything other than be a playoff bubble team this year. I still feel the franchise is headed in the right direction tho.
