There's always talk among sports fans about how so and so would have been great had they been on a better or team, or vice versa great players who people say are only good because of the team. How often have we seen a backup on a good team play like god only to sign somewhere else and suck. You guys remember Scott Mitchell, right?

I think there needs to be a new "Sam Martin" rule because that rule is bullcrap. I'm not sure if he was kicking to corner on purpose or just shanked it, but just kick them out of the endzone and be done with it. And someone please tell that moron kick returner we signed to take a knee. He cost the team close to 40 yards trying to take kicks out of the endzone.

At this point there is no excuse for Hyder not being the #2 DE next to Ansah. And with Ansah out he should be the #1. He was the only one consistently getting pressure on Ansah, unfortunately all Aaron had to do was run to the other side and scramble for 40 yards. The overall lack of pressure from the front 4 is going to sink this team. Ansah and Hyder are the only ones who can do much, and Ziggy is likely to miss some extended time with his injuries. Ngata is a nice big fat wall in the middle of the DL but in this pass happy league a slow stuffing tackle is a luxury we just can't afford. I know he is still better than the alternative, but if this team can't figure out how to start getting to the QB with their front 4 it's going to be a long season of needing to score 30+ points to win a game. This is not shaping up to be a very pretty season.

we're bad, thin at every position, injury depleted, unlucky, etc. offense was a sham. had one good game vs the colts and haven't done anything since other than beating GB's prevent D for one half.

defense is awful and can't generate a turnover or get a stop.

tate got benched 2nd half also. locker room turmoil!

Rooting for the draft to change the fortunes of this franchise has got to be at least as delusional as thinking we still have Super Bowl equity this year. So, I'm just gonna go ahead and keep on rooting for them to make the playoffs.

The only Solace is that Martha at least takes her ownership duties seriously and wont keep losers around too long.

Hopefully the start of this season makes it clear to everyone who was ready to fellate jim bob last year that it really was just the result of them playing crap ass teams and that hes not some messiah that will turn this offense into the 99 Rams. This is about the time of the season where I stopp caring about what moves this team makes because at this point I just want to see them do SOMETHING to fix this rather than just trotting out the same crew and playbook that never worked before.

Team is just a Stafford injury away from a 3-13 season. He's good enough to get us to 5-6 wins but 6-10 is prob the ceiling at this point.

we literally have 0% super bowl equity.

We need to win the division to have a chance to win a playoff game. (We aren't beating a division winner on the road with this team as a wild card team, and even if we do, we aren't beating a #1 or #2 seed on the road the following week)

So in order to win the division we have to go 9-3 to finish (including two wins over the vikings)


Just not going to happen.
