Our schedule is not that scary this year. Gotta get out to a hot start here.

@GB is the only game we'll be a bigger than 3 point dog in the first 7 games. 5-2 should be the benchmark at that point, hopefully we can steal one @HOU, @MIN, even 5-4 from there gives us a shot. If we can get to the bye at 6-3 or better, we might have a shot in Wk 17 for another division winning game at home against GB.

Like, guys, chill. I'm happy we won the game, but that was another episode of That's So Lions that happened to have a twist ending. From blowing a 21-3 lead, missing an extra point, getting a taunting penalty when you just forced a fourth down on a crucial drive, not getting out of bounds on a super obvious and easy spot to get out of bounds .. I mean, all the signs are there except on the win-loss record.

No chance in hell we are winning the division but we do have a chance to back into a wild card because of our schedule. We were nearly drawing dead last year because of the schedule alone.

Most likely result is probably 8-8 or 7-9 but 9-7 or 10-6 really isn't out of the question like it was last year.

We finished 7-9 last year with the hail mary loss, the loss to SD up 20 points, and probably some other LOL lions game I'm forgetting.

Sure we have a shot to get to 10 wins, but it's the Lions, so 7-9 still seems about right

don't forget the seahawks game where calvin fumbled on the goal line and seattle batted the ball out of the end zone for what should have been a safety.

Week 1 in the books. The offense looked its usual self against 2nd rate defenses, putting up massive yards and points. The key was the run game though. They showed some skill there that will be necessary to keep a better defense honest, and maybe, just maybe, help them win some tough games this year. That assumes their defense doesn't give up 35 points per game, which it definitely looks like it could. Some of the problems were miscommunication on deep routes, but there wasn't a lot to like about the defense. It sort of made sense that the game played out that way, as you had two strong armed gunslinger QB's with questionable O-Lines and no defenses airing it out. Detroit just jumped to the early lead before Luck figured out their defense.

Levy is unlikely to play today. While everyone else is wondering what health conditions Hillary Clinton is hiding I'm over here wondering about Levy. They keep saying he's fine and fully recovered from whatever the hell was going on last year but then he plays like a shell of his former self last week and then skips practice all week with a "quad" injury. I hope I'm wrong about this but my fear is that after a few more poor starts he ends up on the IR then retires.

Levy being out just means we get to see a heavy dose of Antwione Williams. He's probably a future starter at OLB for this team if he keeps progressing, once they eventually give up on Van Noy. His speed will be nice to have on the field if Mariota gets moving.

The good news is the team is still relatively healthy, with Ziggy the only other impact player on the injury report list as questionable. He racked up a lot of sacks last year in games where he started out on the injury report, and I don't see today being much different. He should have Mariota running for his life all over the backfield.

The good news is the Titans pretty much suck. If the team builds on what they showed last week, cuts down on some of the big plays on defense, this one shouldn't be close.

That game was garbage but in case there was much doubt, the Lions are not a very good football team.

Only 17 penalties, at least Caldwell runs a disciplined ship

Oh wait

Caldwell had some elite clock management today. He's 2 for 2 in that aspect

Nothing screams Lions like getting 1st and goal from the 1, and turning that into 1st and goal from the 26.

To be fair, that Ebron penalty was terrible. Would have been up 19-3

We still would have lost, still a gross penalty.

Abdullah to IR. Luckily Theo has been a solid runner, Washington looks like the real deal, and Zenner can get some tough yards when needed. Joique Bell was in for tryouts this week too.

I still think the O/U on snaps played by Levy the rest of the season is about 30.

Admirable attempt at a comeback there but I counted 3 Stafford throws that literally hit GB defenders in the hands and bounced off. They got a lot of lucky breaks today and still couldn't capitalize.

The only positive of this season has been that Quinn signed players have been excellent. Marvin Jones has been fantastic, Bolden solid, and Decker looks legit at LT. That gives me some mild hope for the future.

Team sucks. Ceiling is 8-8. We're not Bears bad, but this is not a playoff level team.

Y'all gunna put up 50 on my Bears next week. Stafford is showing himself as a legit top 5 QB, wouldn't want to face DET in the playoffs if they were to make it.

We lost to Titans at home. Nothing is guaranteed.

The saddest thing about Stafford is we all may never know how good he is unless he gets a chance to play for a legit organization that's serious about winning. I mean, think about Stafford's image over the years. He's always been seen as a good but flawed QB. But the truth is that's probably as good as it gets for a Lions QB. Chances are if Lions drafted Montana/Brady/ect their image would be the exact same. And if Stafford got to play for the Pats, and I mean play for the Pats in his prime......well we'll probably never know how good he'd be. Curse of the Lions man.

Same goes for Barry. There are still many, probably most, people out there who don't even realize that Barry is the best RB to ever play the game, ainec. Barry crushed his peers the same way Jordan and Gretzsky did, but yet most people actually think there's a real argument as to who the best RB is and often times they're not even considering Barry. One of the great tragedies in sports history is the Lions drafting and wasting a once in a 4 generations talent like Barry. As least Jordan and Gretzy weren't wasted. And at least this type of tragedy can't happen in baseball. In that sport there are enough advanced stats for even regular joes to understand that Trout is historically awesome despite the fact that he's stuck on a terrible team.
