if we have 2 wins we will be picking #1 most likely. i dont think any LTs are projected to go in the top 15 let alone #1.

okay well if we are picking anywhere in the top 5 and take a LT we are most likely going to be drastically reaching.

we gotta hope patrick peterson falls to us wherever we are in the top 5 and if a good LT is there with our #37 pick or whatever then you take him. if not go best available defensive player.

taking a lt in the top 5 probably won't be good this year. Either take a big talent worth that spot and take a good OL in the beginning of the second... or trade down and get something.

Agree with Patterson, unless their is an absolute stud LT that emerges, it's CB all the way.

That's fine I guess, but I worry that if we NEVER address the LT issue, it's always going to be a nagging problem. I've waited for like five years for a good LT to be taken, and we just have never done it.

I mean, I don't know about the LT talent pool. Maybe there isn't a good prospect this year. I just hate the fact that our OLine gets shredded every game. Obviously a CB will be necessary, too, though.

considering we should have beaten two of those divisional opponents on the road, i'd say 2-1 is likely vs those 3 at home.

is backus THAT bad? I've always just figured he was average for the LT position.

Well, I think it's really more of a whole-line problem. It sort of starts with Backus though. Frankly, Cherilus is the only one I really am okay with.

It's probably close to even money imo. 2-4 v division 0-3 on the road plus 2-1 at home seems about right.

I'm not an O-line expert or anything but Goster Cherilus seems terrible to me. Maybe you just think he's decent because he's upgraded from God-awful to terrible.

Look at the stats people. Backus has been consistent, but he is nothing against any good DT. Cherilus is basically a complete bust, but when we trade him, i'm sure his potential will be reached.

We need at least 1 corner who can actually play man in the coming draft and probably more like two. I'm certainly not picking a LT in the first round.

Lions are actually favored to win today. I'd laugh pretty hard if someone picked the Rams as their "upset special" on one of the pregame shows, as if beating the 0-4 Lions could possibly qualify as an upset.
