They should fire Patricia at half. Hilariously inept.

We are a lock to be 0-4.

This fatass, has the rare combination of being so ****ing bad, and so ****ing arrogant at the same time. If he ****s up our tank by winning the last few games to go 4-12 I’ll lose my mind.

That would be classic lions

Make sure we get the #3 pick so we miss Tua fields and TL while winning 6 games in two years.

Re: Detroit Lions: Bob the Builder

Normally I'm not on team tank but Trevor Lawrence is one of the players worth tanking for. It's tough to imagine a team with Stafford as the QB losing enough games to get the #1 overall, but if they can somehow pull it off I'm all for it. Stafford's dead cap hit becomes manageable after this season, so you can move him, bring in Trevor, keep Chase Daniel as your veteran backup, then with a good GM to manage the rebuild you have a real shot at being competitive again in 2022. Trevor Lawrence already looks like a better version of Aaron Rodgers.

I took a look at Quinn's draft picks over the years and there's a very noticeable trend going on here. His offensive picks are generally pretty good, but his defensive picks are just downright laughable. I wonder if front office's need to split up Offense/Defense a bit more? co-GM's? co-Head coaches? I don't know. But seriously, here's the history of Quinn's rd. 1-3 picks:

Offense:
Taylor Decker - Solid starting LT.
Graham Glasgow - Solid starting RG.
Kenny Golladay - Pro Bowl WR
Frank Ragnow - Borderline Pro Bowl C
Kerryon Johnson - Decent RB when healthy
TJ Hockenson - Good starting TE even if he was a reach.
De'Andre Swift - Rookie, aside from 1 critical drop playing OKish.
Jonah Jackson - Serviceable starting RG as a rookie, not bad for a 3rd rounder.

Now look a the defense:
A'Shawn Robinson - Mediocre DT who they could never seem to find a role for here.
Jarrad Davis - Athletic MLB who is seeming always out of position and can't cover. Probably gone after this year and unlikely to be a major factor on an NFL roster.
Teez Tabor - Loooooollllll
Tracy Walker - Actually looks decent but for some reason they aren't playing him as much?
Jahlani Tavai - Maybe OK? Has mostly been a non-factor.
Will Harris - back to back personal fouls last week. Doesn't look great overall.
Jeff Okudah - We'll see. I thought he was a reach at #3 even though it scratched a needed itch. Didn't look good in his first game but who does against Davante Adams. I'm worried he lacks the athleticism to develop into an elite corner.
Julian Okwara - A healthy scratch last week. Either on the path to busto, this team doesn't know what they are doing, or both.

Basically I wouldn't let BQ in the same building as the person scouting defensive talent, but he's done a pretty good job with the offense. The defense is approaching 2008 levels of terrible. MP is not a defensive genius. The "Patriot Way" for defense relied on some role players to step up and contribute at levels above their draft/FA status, and so far no one on this defense is doing that. If anything it's quite the opposite. I'm fine with a team having an offensive identity and assembling a defense out of leftovers and spare parts, but the assembled product has to at least be middle of the pack. When it becomes a fatal flaw like it currently is, you have no chance.

Re: Detroit Lions: Bob the Builder

The last time this team had a good defensive draft was in 2013 when they got Ziggy & Slay 1 & 2, and they were a top 5 defense the next year. Let's get back to that please.

Re: Detroit Lions: Bob the Builder

Okudah has the look of another Lions bust. Everything coming out of camp was he looked bad and may not even start. First game just got completely torched. I'm wondering if he looked so good in college due to having a pass rusher like Chase Young on his team. Hope he turns it around but not the start you're looking for when you take a CB #3. With our track record with defensibe guys hard to expect much. Annoying because he was said to be a safe pick.

I imagine we wont be bad enough to get Trevor as cool as that would be. Jets, Panthers, fins, and Giants will likey be bottom 4. With Stafford at QB we will always be winning 5-6 games.
