WTF how is that not a touchdown? There may be some technical rule that I wasn't aware of, but just watching the play Calvin gets two feet down with possession in the endzone AINEC, just outrageous that that isn't a catch. If there is a rule that says that's not a catch, the rule should be changed. Lions got robbed.

I don't usually let Lions losses affect me emotionally, but I'm seriously pissed right now. Watching it on TV at first it seemed like a joke that there was even any question. It seems like they just made up a new rule to take away the win.

And the commentators talking about "the process", I still don't know what they're talking about. I mean they sounded like they knew what they were talking about so I'm not saying they don't. But all of a sudden it was as if instead of discussing football, they were talking about cricket. This "process" rule whatever the hell it is, is not something I recognize as part of American football. In American football that's a catch and the Lions win. So they're 1-0, nice start to the season (other than the Stafford injury hope he's ok because they're going nowhere with Hill).

All we need now is Jahvid Best to tear up his knee and Suh to get arrested on a domestic assault case or something (based on the preseason hit on Delhomme he's got violent tendencies, with the Lions luck it translates to off the field issues too). My "bold prediction" (lol) that the Lions would finish ahead of the Bears probably won't happen now. Never too early to think about the 2011 draft, we've got a head start on draft position.

Not if Stafford stays on injured reserve for the rest of the season and they draft a good LT for next year. Have they said what the prognosis is on his injury? Maybe even if it isn't season ending, the medical staff should lie and tell him it is.
