They might be lucky to have 40,000 in the building for this carnival of SUCK.

Or with him. But yeah, worse without. Anyway the competition for the #1 draft pick is heating up and this was a crucial loss if they Lions are looking to make a push for it. Tampa Bay in the drivers seat all alone for now at 0-7 but lots of 1 win teams nipping at their heels.

Re: Detroit Lions 2009 Season Thread

1 - 15 looks doable imo. Next week at Seattle and in 3 weeks at home against Cleveland are the two key must-lose games, other than that I have no doubt in the Lions ability to lose out for the remainder of the season. But will Tampa Bay ever win a game?

Yeah im with you man. Lets face it. If you are a detroit lions fan your superbowl doesnt come in feb it comes in late april. The nfl draft is all we have to look forward to people. So forget about this current season we are having and focus on the superbowl we will get in april.

Gerald mccoy anybody? Eric berry? suh? Hell even drafting jake locker and trading him for a 1st and 2nd and future first would be great. I would make that trade in a heartbeat.

Lets focus on the draft people. This is a detroit lions regular season and we all know it doesnt count.

New Weekend same old ****.

I especially like the pick 6 at the end to fail to cover the spread.

Re: Detroit Lions 2009 Season Thread

Their shovel is dull and their pick is dull. Their will to lose is outstanding. Oh and Tampa Bay got a win today, so nothing stands between the Lions and the first overall draft choice other than 8 more losses (and if they can get a loss at home against Cleveland in two weeks, their path is clear). Also is there any way Stafford ever becomes an accurate passer? I'm not seeing it.

Don't think Stafford will become accurate but not a big problem, McNabb and Eli and others aren't accurate. He's not Jamarcus. Will learn to make better decisions.

Yeah after that redskins win I never wouldve thought we wouldve been in the running for top pick again but here we are with only cleveland standing in our way of our superbowl first pick.

With the way tampa looks with freeman beating cleveland may not be enough to avoid the dreaded number one pick.
