Soooooooooo happy right now due to this. First non thanksgiving game I get to watch in 3 years and they pull out the W. Makes me think they weren´t that bad all along and all these media types I read every week are just making it up. Including the scores

Surprisingly I think we are better than the redskins. On paper we are clearly not better. Just schwartz has really changed the culture. He has given the team more structure. A new attitude. One that the team can call their own. A winners attitude, one of discipline and focus. Something this team has lacked for a long time. I actually dont even know if we ever had it to be honest.

We still have huge holes on the defense. Offensively we have just left tackle woes. However that defense needs dt atleast one more de pass rusher and we need 2 cbs and a ss. Overall I think we are looking to pick outside of the top 5 in next years draft which is a great improvement for a team that many thought was a lost cause. Gotta give jim schwartz all the credit in the world. He really is getting the best out of a team that many hated to remember.

Schwartz def seems to know what he's doing. I've been loving the play calling too. Not just this last game either.

eman, how's your hitting? The LOLions could definitely use some more playmakers on D, not just a QB of the future. Get you in the league faster.

Was the crowd really only 40,000 some? Sad. I know times are super tough and the Lions have been awful, but the fans have supported the team so well through the decades of suck. Selling out the Silverdome with its much larger capacity and all.

A lot of that was because of Barry. Even when the team was terrible if you went to a game at least you got to watch Barry Sanders.

Special teams and specifically kick coverage ****ed the Lions this game. The Bears scored 3 times in the 3rd quarter when they pulled away on ~20 yards of total offense.

Average kickoff return was nearly 50 yards and the average punt return was nearly 20 yards. Other than that and the 2 long gashes on running plays and the Lions played pretty damn well.

That game was fun. I felt a loss coming the whole game but it at least was enjoyable. I didnt seem to have the usual tear my hair out frustration that I normally do while watching Lions games. The did some things well, some things very poorly and it seems like there is at least some future.

Derrick Williams is the new kick returner. Matt Stafford *could* be ready for sunday. Phewwwww we faded the blown out knee and season ender.

Yeah, this offense is very good when Stafford is playing well.
I wouldn't mind sitting Stafford if his knee hurts and I imagine it will. Not like we have a shot against the Steelers.
