Now that I'm off the ledge a little:
Seems like we're in okay shape at 2-2 and this is a perfect time for the bye week. We're still 1-0 in the division and own a tiebreaker against Washington + Philly just lost again. Mentioned it in another thread but our opponents so far this year are 10-1 (outside of their games with the Cowboys).
Maybe it's just me but I don't see a win at NE being out of the question, healthy and coming off a bye (Pats won't, they play NYJ next week). Then there's the Rams, Eagles and Seahawks for us after that. Meanwhile the other NFC East teams have some tough games ahead of them to worry about.
3-1 would be better but things considered they don't seem to be in a terrible spot, and there's a lot of positives to look forward to. Consider some fo these things for upside:
- Ok, first off, Cowboys appear to have found a kicker that's hit on 92% of his kicks so far
- Miles Austin coming back!
- Scandrick coming back
- Two guards coming back
- Jason Hatcher coming back
- Romo, Witten, Newman, Jenkins, Bennett, Felix & Sensabaugh can heal up a bit
- David Buehler can work on his resume
- We still haven't taken the gift wrap off of Bruce Carter
- More Sean Lee
- Less Kevin Ogletree
- What's that, we have an option for a #3 WR on the roster in Robinson? Do tell
- Some hope for the o-line, who did bounce back fairly well against a very tough Lions defense today
I think we'll see a roster move or two soon
