Not remotely worth entertaining the idea of a playoff spot until Christmas, if the universe decides to get sadistic about it. I'm just in it to see how guys are playing and there's a lot to look at really.

Still pretty happy with Lewis, Awuzie was basically goaltending back there the other day, and can't hate Frazier's game (or his solid ST work that will keep him around). Brown lit it up in his few snaps. Woods was on the field a lot too. Skins make a lot of people look good but I'll take it. Taco got a big sack & Beasley 2.0 had a return TD also...Cooper Rush still has his job. 2017 class might work out yet. May as well count Jaylon in that group while we're at it.

All of that makes it tough to figure out what they're looking to do in the offseason. I think outside WR is happening for sure, and an OT prospect, probably a halfback. Who knows beyond that. This really smells like a trade-up year

There are some legit WR's that will be on the board when we pick next year in round 1. I'd think it's totally not an impossible direction now fwiw. Obviously if there's a linebacker there they love they'll take one.

Young WRs struggle so much especially when they are not from a big time program. The stats from the 1st round WRs from last years group are terrible. Pass rushers are another strange group. Can struggle for a year or two and then all of a sudden turn into a Pro Bowler.

I want a top 10 defense to try to Seahawks our way to a Super Bowl. There any Bobby Wagners or Earl Thomas' for us? K thx football gods. Lol.

We still use a 'keep them off the field defensive strategy' lol. We have a couple of the better pass rushers in the game yet our D (ranked 21st right now) and pass D are still well below average. Cousins (for now) and Wentz are in our division. Skins offensive line was really banged up or I'm sure Cousins would have thrown for over 300 yards like last year in JerryWorld.

Not sure flashy WR weapons for Dak is the best use of resources but if WR is the best player available then sure why not. Dez and Witten are not getting any younger.

Seahawks model with Dak as Russ Wilson is my dream. If Dak is like 80% of Wilson, well that's unfortunate but maybe he has a Cam Newton run in him. Defense also got Cam to the promised land.

Interesting NFL WRs can really come from any college conference or level. RBs seem more easily spotted early on.

The Alabama safety Minkah looks pretty salty but probably a top 10 pick. Has that Landon Collins look.

Ya I never once mentioned Minkah because we have ZERO shot.

I guess it woke up late. Well now we gotta win out.

Sucks that that involves Eagles and Seahawks.

Man Bailey today was a concern...

Not too worried. The extra point was a little troubling. But 50+ yarders in cold weather aren’t easy.

My god could we run so pure that Wentz could be out for a bit?

ONE TIME?

Lol Eagles would still win a game somewhere I think but man so many lawnmowers would be sent into orbit.

our WRs are getting old but nice job Dez/Witten on this day.

Raiders stink. Should be the favorite in the next one.

The cowboys prolly won't make the playoffs even if they win out, but if you are rooting for losses at this point you need to give up following sports and re-evaluate your life choices.

Eagles losing out and not making the playoffs would prob cause riots IRL. Would be hilarious. Not that we are going anywhere this year

Eagles clinched the NFC East. Nick Foles is their QB for the rest of this year though.

Quote:
According to ESPN’s Football Power Index, the Cowboys’ playoff chances have increased from 2.8 percent to 5.2 percent. While that is not a huge bump, a loss would have dropped their chances to 0.4 percent.

+1. Our record isn't even that bad so even if we lose out best case scenario is we move up five spots to #12 or 13. I'd rather take the 5% equity of winning out + atl + sea choking and getting in to the playoffs with a healthy rested zeke than tanking for not even much benefit. Even if you told me we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs- I still would prefer to win out and give dak some confidence that he badly needs going in to next year- I think that is more important than moving up 4 or 5 spots in the draft. NFL draft is such a crapshoot anyways once you get past the first 5 picks, the difference between 12/13 and 17/18 is very very minuscule.

Think getting to 10 wins would mean that Dak is still the real deal which would be nice.

Just checked and all but two of our games have been blowouts in either direction, many 20 point type blowouts. The only games that were close were GB with Godgers and LAR at home and we lost them both.

All seven of our wins have been by double digits.

Since Dallas has no tiebreakers, they basically need everyone else at 9 wins or less. A hard road, but I guess it could happen (games not in order):

Dallas wins out - 10 wins
Carolina loses out - 9 wins, gives GB and ATL another W
Atlanta loses @NO and @TB and beats Carolina - 9 Wins
Seattle loses @Dallas and splits @LA and Arizona - 9 Wins
Detroit wins @GB and splits vs CHI and @CIN - 9 Wins
GB wins @Carolina, loses to MIN and @Detroit - 8 wins

Hello #5 seed in that scenario. If at any point 2 teams from that list get to 10 wins (except Seattle if Dallas beats them), or Dallas loses, they're out. Carolina, Atlanta, and Detroit seem to have the easier path to 10 wins amongst those. Rodgers is an x-factor and I'm guessing everyone is hoping he misses one more game.

I am also honestly shocked the game at Oakland wasn't flexed out of primetime next week. I figure CBS protected Pats-Steelers, but why not Rams-Seahawks which is stuck in the non-doubleheader 4 PM eastern slot on Fox?

I have no ill-will towards Wentz. But you're crazy if you think football run-good doesn't involve the misfortune of your rivals. You have to be good and lucky to win. That's all.

But btw anything Philly related giving lessons on class is gooooooold
