I pretty much gave up on them yesterday. It is such a shame. This team is talented as hell, and their top 3 starters are finally starting to hit their groove.

If there talented as hell why would you give up on them? Were only 30 games in.

I think the problem in as your vastly overrating their talent. They made so many fundamentals errors in that series it was kind of sad. The baserunning was attrocious.

I vastly overrated the Tigers talent last year, Im pretty sure the same things going on here.

Unlike the Pistons, the Indians were actually predicted to do good this year. What a ****ing joke your team is lol.
you should know all about it with your 162-0 tigers team from last year. seriously, why don't you just go away? you add nothing.

Just checked the Tribe box score and was surprised to not see a 5 spot for the Sox in the top of the 9th.

Come on, young GREEAR, that post of yours that was deleted was unacceptable and you know it (I hope). Don't let your status as deputy moderator give you the impression you can break the rules. I don't.

lol, WAT? **** him...he adds nothing to everything. i thought i could accept it at first, but his posts in this thread have led me to these conclusions.

what exactly DOES he add, beyond Detroit homerism?

basically, direct me to a thread where he adds to discussion without 'stirring the pot'...

he's a ****-talker, like me. but then, i feel like EVERY SINGLE POST THAT I MAKE isn't meant to piss somebody off..

Let's not let GREEAR ruin this thread. Just put him on ignore like everyone should and let's get back to talking about the Tribe.

Winning this series v. Chicago was a bright spot. Lee has an ERA under 1.5 for his last 4 starts. He was really dialed in today. Glad to see he finally got some run support, particularly against a pretty good pitcher in Beuhrle.

Rondon was moved the bullpen in Akron, that could mean they are priming him for the big league club. Should be interesting, not sure I am for it or not. I hope Kobayashi goes if Rondon does come up. Sipp fell back to earth a bit yesterday, Lewis pitched well. You just never know with this pen.

Peralta seems to be coming back a bit. Still grounded to the left side a couple times today. We really gotta get Grady going again if we are gonna go on the type of run we need to get back in this thing.

They should call up all the relievers and fire everyone not named Tony Sipp and Kerry Wood.

Sipp's control was garbage yesterday. Wild pitch + 3 walks while getting only 1 out. He's walked 7 and K'd 9 and half of his hits allowed have been HRs. Not sold on him yet.

Alright, what's their magic number?

Because I'm an optimist...

BP had us winning 86 games for a .531 winning percentage. If we play .531 ball from here through September, we'd win 67 more games, ending at 81-81. Considering we're 4.5 runs under expectation (third order wins), running a couple games above expectation the rest of the way is far from impossible. 84-85 wins might be enough to win this division, so we're still very much alive. Our pitching has to get better, but it's not like we've buried ourselves in a division with any good teams. Making the playoffs is still very possible.

Jesus, they better not lose this game. That play at the plate was not close.

“It was 9-0 last night. It’s 7-0 tonight, and we end up losing the ballgame. At some point, these guys—they’ve got to look in the mirror,” said Indians manager Eric Wedge

Sounds like it's your move, Wedgie Baby. Your boys cost me a ton o' cash tonight, biatch...

I still think wedge should of been fired on the spot for not having his infield in that game vs the tigers a week or so ago.

As if we needed more proof that we're running bad. Yeah, the bullpen (well, them and Reyes) blew it, but we're up AT LEAST 8-0 if not for that awful call.

Can we please swap Reyes and Laffey? It's kind of ridiculous that Reyes is still in the rotation.

Hi Tribe fans,

What are your expectations for Asdrubal Cabrera for the rest of this season?
