They've both been mysteriously turrible this year. Maybe them having nagging injuries is why.

Haden and Kruger are playing. Maybe the refs will actually flag A Brown for blatantly pushing off today.

I'm on the Browns by 10+. Gonna truck 'em.

Dear Lord, the Browns don't completely suck any more.

I almost don't know what to do with myself.

Where I work, employees can wear jerseys on Sundays, and I am of course the only one sporting a Browns jersey. I'm in hostile territory working near Baltimore, but people are starting to notice/comment each week about how much better the Browns have been looking.

lots of butthurt stealers fans on my Facebook feed right now...

northeast ohio was like 75%/25% browns when I was growing up. since they came back in 99 it's like 60/40 stealers...maybe it's just more noticeable (being a teacher, kids have no shame at all about bandwagon hopping, so maybe it's that) or maybe it's just WTF do we ever have to cheer about?

but there are definitely some people that see the writing on the wall...stealers are hanging on by a thread, cap hell incoming, aging team, etc.

browns...sheeiit. best offensive weapon (****, maybe in the entire league) coming back soon, multiple 1sts again next year...team has been built (very slowly) the right way: dominant offensive line, multiple high picks in the secondary...

alex mack breaking his leg def sucks, especially bc he can opt out I think again this offseason, but that is just about the only thing that dampens my enthusiasm right now. running game seems like they can plug in anyone, top 5 talent at wr and te...imagine if they take another WR with one of those high picks...

anyway yeah, things are looking up. 3-2 and it's not a fake 3-2 like last year felt.

had multiple people I know at the game and all said it feels different this time.

we shall see.

I don't follow football and even I'm starting to scoreboard watch just to see how the Browns are doing. What does a happy Cleveland look like, I have no idea.

We wouldn't trust the happy feeling until we'd won like 4 rings.

If there's one thing Cleveland fans know, it's how fast your good team can break your heart.

In multiple sports, but only in football do those gut punch games have names - The Drive, The Fumble.

We enjoy having a good team, but for those of us old enough to recall all the heartbreak, we also get a bit nervous about when the other shoe will drop.

At least I do. Right now I'm just basking in being hopeful of having a non-crummy team.

nah, everything looks great for the next 5 years across the board.

the cavs, short of anything drastic that causes Bron to leave (he has to know he can't), are playing in the ECF at minimum for the next 5+ years.

the tribe have the best and deepest young pitching staff they've ever had, have had back to back winning seasons and a manager that both wants to be here and is legitimately a top 5ish manager.

the browns...put it like this, if you had to pick a team in the AFC North to win the most division titles in the next 5-7 years, who do you pick?

they've built this team well. offensive line top 3-5 in the league, 2nd youngest team (I think still?) in the NFL with high picks everywhere, an abundance of draft picks still incoming, salary cap looks good, apparently a capable coach...

only thing they could really **** up is way overpaying HOYA this offseason, but between the leverage they have in manziel and HOYA being a st ignatius kid I don't worry much about that..

I've lived through every dagger since the Drive, which was the first time I ever saw my dad ****-faced and cussing uncontrollably (lol), and I have never been more excited for Cleveland sports at any time in my life..late 80's had the browns and cavs but the tribe stunk.

mid 90's had the indians but cavs stunk and the browns left.

when lebron was here, the indians showed glimpses but the browns were awful...

right now, there is a really, really good chance that all 3 teams are playoff caliber for the rest of the decade and I'm just looking forward to the ride.

*note* I fully expect and look forward to heartbreak. but IMO watching a great product and blowing it >>> losing constantly

Sweet win yesterday I'm gonna be watching it in a bit will maybe post some thoughts. Love that Gordon got out of the year long suspension and that extra 1st has gotta be feeling good.

with two #1's...

I mean when was the last time the Browns could afford to use a #1 as a luxury pick?

they have holes, but none glaring enough that I would be mad that they just went BPA other than QB

Congrats on taking down my steelers in convincing fashion. My brown hatred left Cleveland when your team was stolen and moved to Balmer. Trade Manziel ?

Browns next 3 opponents:

At Jaguars 0-6

Home to Raiders 0-5

Home to Bucs 1-5

Jaguars had a tight game on the road with Titans yesterday could be a trap. Raiders new coach got them to play well against Chargers. Bucs have been blown out big twice already this year. Not hard to fathom Browns being 6-2 at the half way mark. Will have to earn it though.

I think you might be overly optimistic in some spots (lets just say I hope you're right, but I fear you're wrong), but I'll agree with this last part without reservation. I'd like us to at least be competing rather than sucking, even if I have to deal with inevitable Drive II or the like.

When we can crush the Ravens I'll be on top of the world. I loathe that team with the fire of a thousand suns.

The other thing that bothers me is how much people are now talking about the Browns as "legit". I'm spooked when other people start mentioning how my team might not suck any more.

I think I might be shell-shocked from so bad terrible seasons.
