had a Bernie Kosar poster on my wall right next to the Webster Slaughter one where he was shooting the spidey-web out of his hand

Browns are universally clowned because they have been little other than a revolving clown college since they returned to the league.

I love them but I'm not such a homer that I don't recognize their epic levels of lolness through the years.

I did have an '87 team photo on my wall in my bedroom, and I have an autographed Kosar jersey as well.

pretty sure my father's hate of Arthur is a bit short of riverman's, but he certainly would punch him if given the chance

Since I have Cameron and Gordon on my dynasty, I can promise you I won't miss a single Browns game this year. Going to have my hands in the air every time Manziel YOLO's one up field. Listening to Jim Rome now, and it's clear that most people are pumped to see this young man play. I know I am.

Well you don't expect us to be optimistic when they actually play, do you?

2014-15 Browns go 10-6 & win the AFC. You heard it here first. And by first I mean after being said by every Browns fan everywhere.

I'm not saying it, mostly because I'm too numb at this point to the constant cycle of off season moves/hope followed by actual season loltasticness to do much predicting, other than predicting the standard level of heartbreak.

I'll agree this is the best we've looked on paper in some time, but how it will actually play out on the field, too soon to tell.

Misery does love company. There aren't any other miserable Texans fans? Weird.

Was not thrilled about having Johnny, but very pleased with the results. Think JFF is going one of two ways - either a complete bust or gonna be awesome. So we either get 2 top picks next year to fill up, or we have an awesome QB with a very serviceable backup for when he gets hurt (which will happen), and still a top pick next year (and another 1st round!). 2014 probably a borderline playoff team, but 2015 gonna be DAMN good.

Yeah hopefully if Manziel sucks he'll suck resoundingly enough that they won't pass on an elite qb next year. Its hard to do as usually GMs do not want to draft QBs in the first round two years in a row. Pretty much their own death warrant.

I think everyone knows that JFF is a high risk high reward type player, and if he isn't working out, no biggie. Especially since Haslam wanted him so badly too. Then again Haslam is Haslam.

every year.

literally every one, in august I find ways to talk myself into 9-7.

seeing how 7-9 would still be an improvement, and assuming JFF starts maybe half those, and then getting maybe the #12 overall and the bills which, let's be honest, is more likely to be top 5 than bottom 10, man oh man...

we're young, and **** donninic for saying 10-6, but for the first time in forever you can almost guarantee that sundays won't be an absolute misery.

lose. ****, ain't nothing new. but have johnny mother ****ing football throw deep to josh gordon 5 times a game and i am ****ing IN.

This AFAIK, but by not taking him top 10 they at least look better if he busts as well (we passed on him for the top 10!).

Still probably the most excitement around a Browns QB since Anderson had that one fluke season.

eh, if he's a knucklehead it ain't ray farmer's fault. at least they might have a good GM and are slated to get a good WR prospect in about half an hour.

ultimate troll opportunity:

I'm at the ymca. 10 feet from the front steps is the annual relay for life, cancer fundraiser walk.

Travis Benjamin is at a booth until 9pm signing autographs...

I considered the following:

asking him if since he already had his yearly test if he wants to walk across the street and hit my joint.

asking him to sign, "lol 2+2 browns single season thread"

asking him to sign, "dear wiper, just say no, travis benjamin"

getting a pic with him and doing the universal *holding and smoking an air-joint* pose

alas, when I texted my brother about the monumental task of properly choosing the correct trolling option, he replied, "dude, not at the cancer walk".

my mom beat breast cancer this year and my aunt is hanging on weeks longer than the doctors thought with a malignant brain tumor.

kinda took the wind out of my troll sails.

wiper, i think you made a good call.

A little confused with the Bitonio pick over a WR, especially considering the Gordon drug test news. I guess they think Schwartz can stay at Tackle, because Bitonio is smallish and projects to move inside.
