I only caught the 2nd half, but Quinn looked bad in the series I saw him in. Totally chokes under pressure. Kinda like another guy on the team:

Not to make this thread about CFB, but Miami got totally screwed by a phantom PI call when the game should have been over.

To absolutely make it about the CFB, OSU got screwed even worse by a pass that was completed(and interfered with) getting called incomplete. That pass is complete, OSU runs out the clock in regulation.

Not to make excuses, but the first week was with Charlie Frye. The second game was a nailbiter, which took a last second drive to win. Although the Steelers had a slight edge, it wasn't much.
WTF? The point of the tiebreaker is to eliminate the tie. So after using the tiebreaker, THERE IS NO LONGER A TIE.

Yes b/c historically preseason records are extremely reflective of regular season results.........

well, on the bright side, last year started like this too, right??

488 yards given up isn't good though, even if it IS the cowboys, to give up THAT many big run plays after giving up the entire draft to shore up the d-line might be a baaaad omen..

also, memo to braylon...YOU aren't adjusting to a newfangled spread offense, just catch the ****ing ball.

After that, I can't support Romeo. There were too many just straight ******ed coaching decisions today.

I didn't really watch much of the game, but this is an understatement. If I was a browns fan I probably would have broke my tv when he didn't go for it on that 4th and 3 down 21 points. That could have been the worst coaching decision in the history of football, assuming he was actually trying to win the game.

Just watched the Romeo Press Conference....and noone asked about the field goal??? WTF Cleveland Reporters???

They asked...his response was "if you go for it and don't get it, you don't have any momentum. By scoring, at least we got some momentum"

Truly unbelievable.

It's really not THAT big of a deal, like they had a shot of coming back from down 21 with a defense that totally blows.

Obviously from a chance-of-winning-the-game perspective it's pretty insignificant either way since it was all but over at that point. But it's gotta be really defeating for the players and fans to essentially concede the game with that much time left, and there really aren't any negatives that could have arisen by going for it (I guess technically risk of injury, but that's pretty weak). Crennel looked like an idiot there.

I'm not going to deny his logic was terrible.

he said at the press conferences that he 'really wanted to get points on the board, and if you don't get the first down, where are you then??'

uhhh...right where you are if you make the field goal, down 3 scores???

Browns fans will be crying for Brady Quinn after they lose their 1st 2 home games to Dallas and Pittsburgh.
