Romeo has announced that (surprise) Derek Anderson remains the starting quarterback.

Sweet.

I am now openly rooting for a DA injury. Anything non-fatal will make me very happy.

Because of the short week? How ******ed. Of course Anderson will have a good game against the Broncos and we'll have to see him **** up against Buffalo and **** will get delayed again.

ESPN is reporting Quinn will start. Probably wrong but whatever.

From Rotoworld:

ESPN reports that Brady Quinn will start at quarterback for the Browns Thursday against the Broncos.
Trey Wingo relayed the news at the end of ESPN's Primetime; we're not sure where it came from. It's a short week to prepare, but Quinn gets the easiest matchup possible against Denver. He'll do well. Quinn can put up solid QB 1/2 stats the next few weeks (Denver, Buffalo, Houston), but his schedule gets much harder after that: Indy, Tennessee, and Philly. Sage Rosenfels should be a better pickup over the next month, but not this week.

There is a god. And who cares if Quinn sucks. I'd rather start Quinn not knowing what he's capable of then start DA knowing he sucks.

It's about time. Even if quinn sucks it has been way to long now. they have been paying him way to much money to sit on a bench for the last 3 years.

Hilarious Browns front office. Let's bench DA after one of his "better" games, but hell let him play after the atrocity of Cincinnati, first Ravens game, Redskins, etc.

However, the real situation is, I'm trying to confirm somewhere, but I believe Quinn got some big bonus if he started 9 or more games this year for the Browns, starting him now makes sure he doesn't.

da played really well yesterday and the browns win if braylon edwards doesnt have brick hands.

i dont see why everyone thinks that if quinn is the qb braylon will all of sudden learn how to catch.

Quinn's in his second year and not making that much.

Think of the tension between DA and Edwards now.

His dropped catch literally cost him his job, at least this week.

i just cussed at braylon during his '5-hour energy' commercial...

"oh YEAH, ya ****?? how about '5-hour CATCH THE ****ING BALL!!!"

DA may have played "really well" by DA standards yesterday, but he has consistently been awful in pressure situations. The INT to end the game was beyond inexcusable.

I don't expect Quinn to be great, but if he doesn't give games away with ****** picks it will be an improvement.

Also, so typical of the Browns organization that at Romeo's press conference DA is the starter and by Monday afternoon it's Quinn.

You stopped watching before the 4th quarter right?

The problem with DA is that he plays like **** when the pressure is on or things don't go his way. Yah BE still drops the pass, but hopefully Quinn won't become a useless pile of **** afterwards like DA does.

I'm getting the sense that ownership put their foot down. Romeo comes out and says no change. Ownership realizes after the display by the fans yesterday this is gonna start costing them revenue and the best way to regain the trust from the fans is to give them what they want on a national TV stage against one of the "softer" teams on their tough schedule.

My question....where was ownership during the bye week when this should have been done?

Last year their NFL Network Thursday game was on Fox. Looks like this weeks game is on channel 6, WUAB.

whatever.

it seems to me braylon is far more of problem than da. they have 2 more wins this year if he just catches the ball. these arent hard catches. the ball is in stride to both hands and not hes not even sustaining a hit.

im not a browns homer, i just have to suffer through their mediocrity and listen to everyone in this town cry for quinn. its annoying. and wrong.

Victor,

We'll see, but I disagree. DA has singlehandedly lost them a ton of games, including the CIN game to get into the playoffs in which he had a total meltdown.

as soon as quinn throws his first pick you clowns will be clamoring for da. or whoever the 3rd stringer is.
