3 games in 11 days, a game 84 hours after your last one, against a division rival, on the road, on Thanksgiving where the Lions always play tough and with the back-up QB. That is a big win.

Hopefully, Trubs is back next week with the long break and just keep rolling.

If Fuller catches the ball that hits him in the chest in the first game in GB and Parkey hits the OT FG in Miami and White gets one yard deeper on the hail mary this team is 12-0. None of that happened though But we should secure the division and get to see if defense > offense against somebody like LA or NO. Both of those teams seem unstoppable. But we do get a test run in a couple of weeks against the Rams.

They should have beaten GB and MIA. Not NE though.

If we are playing the should have game AZ flips to an L.

Nothing to complain about this year, Nagy looks to be the real deal he is pulling great things out of a raw Trubisky and a guy who hasn't seen the field in years yesterday. Super exciting that we could have 15+ years of Nagy designed O going forward.

Unfortunate that NO and LA are both running away with the byes this year so 12-4 probably doesn't get one. This team is going to make the playoffs and will be a tough matchup for every NFC team. Got 20-1 on the Bears to win the NFC this year before the season, looking pretty live!

Love Love Love that Nagy is taking 2pt attempts. Would like to see run, or trubisky rolling right with an option to pass or pull it down a little more around midfield in 3rd and 4 or less spots with the intention of going for it on 4th and short. Field position is super low value with our D imo.

Nagy is a stubborn word and I think it's supposed to be pronounced neggie? But yeah can't believe this has been the title for all of thread history; guys it's been a grim decade.

my three favorite that I've seen online or irl are:

Losing to the Giants sucks But at least Minny lost and the Pack is dunzo. Chase Daniel was miserable and they still almost pulled it out. With a healthy Trubs they should be ready to roll!

Before this game the Rams were clearly the most dominant NFC team and I think the NFC is much stronger than the AFC. Therefore; SUPERBOWL CHMPS!!!!!!!!!!

Or not But they have as good a chance as anyone other than home field in playoffs. Lots and lots and LOTS of parody this year. Anybody could win it so why not the most dominant defensive team? I am a true believer. Trubs was horrible but that could be rust or maybe he's still hurting a little or maybe he sucks in the cold but they over came his sucking and ran the ball well and the defense rocked. They can do it this year they really can!

Da Bears!

Clinching, clinching vs. Packers and eliminating Packers is a very enjoyable trifecta

With the way things are going they can still get a better seed. Go Carolina! The Bears should be a force in years to come with this year being the surprise season. And with the way things are playing out they have as good a chance this year as anyone else. NO, LAR and KC all peaked too early CHI/LAC super bowl one time! I am a closet Chargers fan having lived in SD during the air Coryell years. But the Bears are my number one.

This could happen. Bears outta nowhere to SB champs!

Just think if the Bears had drafted Mahomes instead of Trubisky when they had the chance.

That Minnesota game put and exclamation point ! on the season leaving no doubt who the North champions are. Really looking forward to the playoffs. I hope they can put on a defensive show like in 85 where they just made other teams look stupid in the playoffs. Not really at that level but who knows. I like their chances.

trying to think of Bears losses that stung same or more; off top of head---

Marino game in 1985 (I was a kid but omg, this was hell)
Losing to the Redskins in playoffs the year after Super Bowl
Losing to Packers in NFC Championship 2010
Losing to Packers on hail mary 2013 game 16 that cost us division & playoffs

but for me, tonight was honestly even worse than Manning Super Bowl loss; super bowls are cool but the only time my hopes were legit up in that game was after Hester ran back the opening kickoff.

I think this Bears team is good and beats these Eagles on a neutral field more often than not, but credit to the Eagles who did well in tough spot tonight and more power to them. Bears had a strange year, they were winning all 17 games in the 4th quarter (eh actually I think they were just ahead of the Patriots in the 3rd quarter) and the losses to the Packers and Dolphins were super bonkers. I have no problem with Bears beating Vikings in week 17 and getting the (clearly superior) Eagles in the playoffs; granted it was definitely not ideal, but I think tanking there is likely way way more complicated in the locker room than meets the eye.

Nothing guaranteed in present-day NFL parity carnival but Bears are well positioned to be strong for some years. Jury is still out on Trubisky imo. Wheatrich at this point I think your perpetual hissy fit about Trubisky says more about you than Trubisky but hey keep ****ing that chicken.

After four hours I'm finally starting to muster some empathy/something for Parkey but yeah there is no world in which it's a good idea for him to return next year. Cody Parkey: Good job facing the press and I sincerely hope this season doesn't haunt your life and your kids' lives and yes we understand that the last kick was 1/1000th blocked, but dude, you ****ed it all up this year, you absolutely ****ed up, you have failed, you have failed again, you have stood up and then failed again, you were an unlimited failure, you deserve blame Cody Parkey, you know it and your wife knows it and Jesus knows it, and if you think this is all part of His plan then that's super, but part of Our plan is that you really do leave now, please leave, Cody Parkey goodbye.

Woulda, coulda , shoulda!

Parkey was almost a guarantee to miss that especially after he made the one that didn't count. It was like a self fulfilling prophecy. But this was a great outta nowhere season. If they had come into this year with actual hype and expectations that loss would have hurt more. But I want to look at the bright side and build on this and become perennial contenders.

I really like Nagy and his approach
Trubs has grown and improved but he still has a way to go
The defense is awesome
Maybe losing means people won't hire Fangio away from us

Anyway it was a great season and we haven't been able to say that in forever and I am already looking forward to next season.
