I might be. I would like to see them try.

Also so much of the effectiveness of the Texans offense is the blocking scheme. All of their runs look like the rollout. That is not the blocking scheme the Bears run all of the time and they don't have the talent at the offensive line to even think about running it as an everydown scheme.

in case anybody missed this, ten or so Bears went out for Rookie Night and at the end of dinner the rookies (Shea McClellin and practice squad guy Aston Whiteside) had to pick up the check...

McClellin on his reaction: "I was just like: 'Oh, I'm going to have to pay someone back because I can't pay all of that right now.'"

but lol of course it was just the vets ****ing with them, and then Idonije tweeted the picture of the fake bill. CAMARADARIE!

i know it's a joke but i could see ten behemoths plus the rooks easily eating 10k worth of food and drink in a sitting if they go real top shelf on the wine.

those savages can pound food.

Not sure I agree with it, but bump for #1 ranking in Barnwell's power rankings

Yeah, would've been great to bury the Lions' season for good, in Week 7 no less. Having said that, I think their win gives them new life and Monday is now a huge game.

yeah, this is what bummed me out, now they're going to have a bit more umph to them battling back to get to 3-3.

i'm not overly worried because they have looked like complete **** this year so far but we'll see if they show up pumped come monday.

i hope donkey kong keeps his filthy mitts off of cutlahhhhh.

Agreed, it's really annoying the Eagles and Texans s*** the bed. Was looking forward to them both taking their games.

Lions game could be really weird, because we're showing the same tendency to be a flat first half, great second half team. So one would imagine the fireworks happen after half time.

Cutler needs a big game here. We really can't afford to lose, thereby giving Detroit a home-field win away from picking up 2.5 games on us.

Lions D line has to show up for 4 quarters on MNF. Defense is totally different with Delmas back though.

Deezy, any word on whether or not Suh wouldn't be available for MNF because of the impending legal headache with his hit-n-run?

I couldn't believe what a terrible job the Lions defensive line did against an Eagles offensive line that might be worse than the Bears.

Not sure if serious? They hit Vick something around 15 times during that game and forced him into many bad throws

I watch games on Sundays with two Eagles fans. I have sat through every Eagles game this year. That was by far the most time Michael Vick has had all year. If his first option isn't open he starts moving they can't block anyone.

Yes, they got sacks when they needed them in overtime and rushed him into 2 interceptions and some throw aways, but a majority of the time when Vick dropped back and actually had time to go somewhat through his progressions it was startling, that has not happened all year.

My guess is that they will be fired up on Monday night and will light up the Bears o-line though.

Is it crazy I'm starting to have faith in the OL? (J'MMMAAAARRRCCUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSS!)

There's a cool interview video with Tice on the Bears website, where he states how pissed off with the GB game he (still) is, because he got away from his gameplan. That's the only time the OL has looked like *oo.

We'll have no Alshon, but Bennett will be back for him. And Rodriguez, and I'd love to see him continuing on his run-wonderblocking.

I am *gulp* confident, as it's a home game.

Talking of Jerry first round OL busts:

Code:
PROTECTING CUTLER: 2012

Player Snaps Pen's Sacks Hurries QB hits
J'Marcus Webb 349 2 3 1 8
Gabe Carimi 349 7 3 4 17
Lance Louis 349 1 1 1 2
Roberto Garza 349 0 1 0 1
Rachal/Spencer 352 3 1 1 6
I'm not entirely serious (yet), but...
Carimi has given up as many QB hits, more Penalties, and more QB hurries, than the rest of the line COMBINED.

At this point he's looking more like another Jerry-pick than not.

he's also graded as their best run blocker by far, according to pff

Okay, but were we ever taking anyone else with that pick other than Carimi? That was a slam dunk pick when he was available and I wouldn't change it either.
Chicago Bears: The Bear Mitch Project Quote
10-17-2012 , 07:35 PM
Nah, I wouldn't have picked anyone else. But then the same could possibly be said about Chris Williams, injury acknowledged, after Clady was picked two spots earlier.

I just pointed it out because I thought it was interesting, and Carimi has been the weak link so far, not JWebb. It's been evident in his play.

I just hope Jerry's first round O-Line curse (let's not forget Cololmbo injury-jinxed himself out of town) doesn't have one last tale to tell.

Carimi has some improving to do.

i may not be very observant at all. I had no idea that carimi was getting that worked at RT this year.

stats don't lie obv but i'm amazed that i focused so much on webb struggling and didn't even see the other side as the problem maker

outside of the 2 false start penalties on the same drive last game at least. (iirc)

Carimi is Angelo's only first rounder left on the roster now
