Just heard Jared Allen going to Panthers. No idea what we got for him. I would love to see them trade everybody they can though!

Jon Bostic traded now too. 6th round picks for both him and Allen.

chicago bears: the entire sixth round

Easy trades to make both players were worthless here (well allen especially in a 3-4). I expected 2 7th's--can't believe we got a 6th for bostic. Bostic didn't even cross my mind when I threw up some names in the main thread we might get a pick for that we'd trade right now.

Willie Young is certainly next on the block--got healthy scratched last week.

I'd dump Jacquizz too, sucks bushrod got hurt, that would've been an easy one for a LT needy team. Maybe ego? Starting to run out of players other teams might trade for (ok shea but I don't see us trading a starter this week)

Forte salary is too high unfortunately, very limited partners that make sense from win now and fit. That and fanbase would riot if we only got like a fourth.

Dude just can't play 60 solid minutes, doesn't matter how well he's playing. He's the anti-Rodgers.

13-3 still in range!

Actually I thought the Defense looked better than could have been expected. With a healthy Alshon this offense could actually be decent too. With the schedule I don't really think anyone had a win penciled in until this game anyway. They will probably play just well enough to screw up a juicy early draft pick.

Fox was f'ing awful in this game decision wise and ofc he got there in the end.

Still feels like a 4-5 win team and that's not gonna get the #1 pick. Hell it might not get top 5 or possibly 10 just from so many dreadful teams (the entire afc south plays each other and TB, so somebody's gonna be awful and still get like 6 wins). I'm not sure where we're going long term @ QB, if we end up with say connor cook who to me upside is a worse version of Jay Cutler I'm gonna bang my head against the wall.

You guys may have the dumbest coach to ever reach a Super Bowl. For a bit of the game, I was convinced that your GM is three levels ahead of all of us and brought this guy in to tank to get a better draft pick. Genius move. Bring in a "proven" coach, and when he sucks, it's not really your fault.

Jesus, he is terrible.

I want you guys to suck, but not like this. Never like this.

Well, we had Lovie too, so we had the 2 dumbest coaches ever to reach the superbowl Actually I think Fox was hired before the GM. But I don't get the Fox hate (yet). For where they are/were as a team he still seems like a decent placeholder After the run of Jauron/Wannie/Lovie/Trestman he seems better to me so far. If they actually had a team capable of winning I might feel differently. Then again I don't mind coaches who kick extra points or punt because I didn't learn football strategy from playing Madden.

Fox is a great coach Tuesday-Saturday (assuming you dont play on Thursday) but come game time he is awful.

Not sure what to think. First legitimately gutsy win by the Bears since... we signed Cutler?

Hmmmm? The defense isn't totally horrible. They almost hung in there with Green Bay. Arizona was a debacle. They actually held Seattles offense. And now 2 wins in a row with the helpless Lions on deck. It kinda sucks that they don't suck more because they aren't going anywhere this year and Cutler isn't the future.

why are bears fans happy when they win? they should be rooting so hard for them to lose and get the top pick... i just don't understand. the team has been in mediocrity for years and continuously picking in the 10-15 range which is brutal. ideal situation imo: tank the **** outta this season, dump cutler and fox and start building behind a young qb.

or trade for rg3!

Why are you trolling two Chicago franchises within 5 minutes of each other?

Fangio is legit. Bears are too big a franchise to outright tank, which makes it difficult to wreck a season to appease a small percentage of fans who would like to see a **** product, probably fans of the 76ers.

Man, we have a chance today. I know there wasn't much optimism here (or anywhere). Understandable at 0-3. But then, with our starter at QB we've basically won the yardage/TOP battle against everybody. This team is just not half as bad as all those thinking we should tank thought. We've burned off lots of dead wood and massively upgraded coaching (Fox's history alone shows he turns bad teams around).

3-3 going in to the bye and we'd have a genuine chance at targetting the playoffs.

**** the tank and let's win this. I don't want to go 2-14 just in the hope that we can get a franchise player at 1-3.

Course, with people now predicting us to beat the 0-5 Lions, it would be just like us to s*** the bed.

Yup.

I am so f***** off at the Foxball and Refs today I can't sum it up in words. Possibly the most annoying game I have seen in 30 years. Legit screaming at the game.

F***ing tragic joke.
