I think the lines about right.

Two 7-9's and one 9-7 last three years.

Team shouldn't be worse (who did we lose? Turners Offense, lol. And two mediocre ends) but could be better (Peppers, Urlacher, fit Forte, first "wonder year" under Martz).

If we do 7-9 or worse it's mostly going to be on Cutler's underperforming shoulders IMO.

I'd rather take the over than the under, but line is probably right given preseason and the division.

Meh, front end doesn't look so rough, I see them finishing 0-4 vs pats and jets @ soldier field and vikes and pack on the road.

that seems about right. i really don't understand why you go out and get jay cutler, but don't get him any receivers. lol the devin hester project has been laughable. the best we can hope for is an improved running game, and defense. the secondary looks godawful again.

At the end of the season you're going to see how silly that is (barring runbad injuries in bad spots). This ain't the talentless teams of the mid 90's.

I mean, I agree somewhat (talentwise I'd have loved a BMarshall trade, or a VJ trade) but Knox is no slouch. 5th rounder or not I don't know there's another last year WR I take over him. Yeah there was a few producing first rounders. But Knox almost put up those numbers as a 5th rounder who didn't start a single game...

Hester, ever a WR? Who knows. He still put up 750 yards in 13 games... In a lolTurner "Offense".

Aromashodu, who knows what we got there, too. But he's an ideal Cutler target.

I'm 5 times more worried about everyone on the OL than the WR's.

And people need to realise the magic passing numbers Martz's Offense put up in just the first year of the transformation. Yes even Detriot and SF.

Why the long face (before we've even thrown a pass)?

Yea five games is a little silly. This team does still have talent and will lose some close games and win some close games they are much closer to a 7, 8 win team than a 5 win team.

I still say the best part of the offense since Cutler has got to Chicago has been the Wide Receivers.

maybe the 5 win prediction is the Cub fan in me. I just don't see any bright spots on our team. Our O and D lines suck. Our D overall seems to suck. As of now our WR's are question marks as is our QB's true ability to lead a team.

Man I sound like I'm about to kill myself, lol. Hoping for the Bears to prove me wrong, of course.

they're a mediocre team with mediocre talent. their whole gimmick was we can have mediocre players at a bunch of spots and end up with a wildcard and call it a success. well minnesota and green bay got better and that doesn't work anymore. this offseason the bears put lipstick on a pig.

Ok, Bears get the win but seriously, that aint right. Everyone who watched that game other than the officials knows Calvin caught the game winning TD. I don't even care what the official rule is, if that's not a TD it's the worst rule ever.

lol there were no winners in that game. This is the only win the Bears will get for a very long time. We're both doomed to being horribads in this division this year. (lol we have cowboys packers giants and panthers up next)

Also the call was indeed terrible. It clearly was a catch and a touchdown. Just the way it occurred it was able to bet nitpicked apart and overturned.

I agree 100%, but I thought the Lions could accomplish one thing this year... finish ahead of the Bears. And already with that loss + Stafford's injury I don't think they will now. Time to start thinking about the 2011 draft already? Ok cool, future looks bright.
