I don't mind it, just because I can't really think of anyone better who's available and would take the job. That said, I have a very bad feeling about Martz trying to bring the Greatest Show on Turf to Soldier Field with no O-line and Devin Hester as the #1 receiver. It has the potential to be good, but I worry it has even more potential to be an epic trainwreck.

Go big or go home?

I really think Martz could do well with Cutler. They should fit together pretty well and bring some excitement and scoring to the bears. This looks like a good situation for him to come into with a qb that should fit his system. Overall there isn't anything great as far as talent goes but he can probably get the most of out.

I think Martz is underrated in general. He went to a Detroit team and without much at all made them more competitive. In San Francisco he didn't get much of a chance to do what he wanted to do and it never stood a chance as soon as Singletary was hired.

One more step towards the Bill Cowher era coming post lock-out.

I know it's early but is anyone interested in an avatar bet on the bears getting to the playoffs?

I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I'm pretty excited about Martz.

Got Manumaleuna, Martz's blocking Tight-End (thanks for the years Des).

Going, literally, for Peppers. Whose agent says we're his to lose.
Prizing Chester Taylor off the Vikes.

George, and his manhole-sized nickels, will be spinning in his grave.

Bear MF Down, and get this done.

The bears release Orlando Pace and Fontel Mines and Tyler Reed. I really hoped that Pace had a couple of years left in the tank, but I guess there was nothing there at all. I think with the new blocking tight end and Williams looks like a NFL left tackle I think the blocking problems will be diminished next year without a doubt.

They also plan on keeping Oliyame on the o-line for the time being. I would assume since they are targeting big name defensive players they will be trying to sneak a quality offensive lineman in the 3rd round.

hooo-rahhhhh

julius ****in peppers, baby. here's hoping tommie harris decides he wants to be a stud again... what's the line on the bears' winning the super bowl?

now we (sadly) convert greg olsen into an o-lineman or a draft choice that becomes one, get more o-linemen and a safety in the draft.... i'm rambling, but it's gonna be exciting this year.

...unless all the head coaches on the staff, who know that the bears love to promote from within, are angling for lovie's job.

I have only one thing to say:

PEPAHHHHHHHHHHS!

PEPPAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHS

Silly question perhaps, but with Manumaleuna in the fold, can't Olsen just operate in more of a receiving role than he already does for this offense? Catching balls was still a problem for this club last year afaik. Is it just assumed he moves for o-line help?

it's gonna be hard to lose with this much talent, but fear not nfc north, lovie's prob gonna find a way

Bump for schedule released

It's not the venue I had in mind, but I'll be attending my first ever Bears game in person when they play the Bills in Toronto on Nov. 7th. Pretty stoked.

This isn't exactly the prettiest of schedules though...the last four weeks are just nasty.

2 (hopefully) clear victories after the bye in the last 9 weeks. Not a fun finish.

Quick question for you guys - I think I'll be in Chicago the weekend they play the Redskins. How difficult is it to get tickets for Bears games?
