Wow, really? I put so much time into the spacing, and all of it disappeared when I posted. Crap, this is a bit messier than anticipated. Anyways, I shamelessly stole the format from the Miami Heat thread, and I hope this is useful and usable. I'm suprised there wasn't a Chicago Bulls thread already, but hopefully there's some good discussion now

Underscores FTW. Not as pretty as the spaces were, but this should do

I am pretty excited about this team as I think its built pretty well from top to bottom, it seems like 48-55 wins will be about what they end up with. Hopefully a 3rd spot going into the playoffs until we get cockslapped out by the Heat.

Yeah I think they're the clear division faves at this point, and the only ones with a chance at a Heat upset in the playoffs if they can pull off a Deng/Iggy trade now and make a few other good moves, or if they can snag Carmelo this year/next year. All of this is of course also dependent on Rose and Noah continuing to develop, Redick looking more like he did at Duke if he comes, and Boozer staying healthy/trying.

Orlando signed Quentin Richardson, making it look more likely that they don't match the Bulls offer sheet on J.J. Redick. I think he would be a good fit with the Bulls, especially if he develops into the kind of talent people thought he would be after college. He should get a lot more open looks outside of the arc with Rose executing the drive and kick, and a real post presence with Boozer and Noah down low. He's young, so that obviously works well with the Bulls too. Also, his defense can only go up with Thibodeau, and from what I've seen his defense was already better than you would expect from his size and athleticism.

Adam Morrison to work out for the Bulls tomorrow.

What is this, I don't even...

Really like their roster now...full of players I had planned to keep an eye on after they finished their college careers

Edit: And now Adam Morrisson??? This is gonna be fun. I would kill for him to experience a career rejuvenation and have him come off the bench to score 8-10 ppg.

Well that's what I'm hearing, he could be a min guy who plays like 2 mins a game, fills a roster spot, and only gets re-upped/more play time if he takes something from thibs coaching on D and develops godly outside-the-arc shooting. If that's the case (1 to 2 year min contract) then it's ok with me I guess. Also, adds 2 RAAAAANGZZZZZ to the team.

Haha good call I hadn't thought of that. Having Noah on the court negates that though ldo

The Bulls are considering signing Shaun Livingston as a backup PG. Also, the Adam Morrison workout is a multi-team workout, with at least the Bulls and Cavs there.

Eh so the full news on that is that it's Ammo, Melvin Ely, and Al Harrington working out, and the Cavs, Bulls, Clippers, Celtics and Spurs are watching. Apparently Ammo looks good (lol).

eh ... i dont mind Morrison if he can shoot like he did in college.
don't know much about Al Harrington as i havent seen him play in a long time.
if Livingston can be a backup PG and play near the potential was, maybe we could find a gem or 2
Chicago Bulls - IWANNATALKABOUTDABULL Quote
07-13-2010 , 03:45 PM
Yeah, I think Livingston could potentially be pretty damn solid, and we can probably get him on the cheap. Also, ammo for min money for two years, team option on second year is acceptable to me.

RT @tribjazz: Kyle Korver said at Bulls introduction that he's been texting w/ Ronnie Brewer. "We're trying to start the Chicago Jazz here."

I'd fully support Brewer coming to Chicago.

Livingston not so much -- unless it's league minimum and even then I'm indifferent

Read this, and tell me it doesn't at least SLIGHTLY change your opinion of Livingston in a positive way. I felt the same, short contract for min money before, but I'm kind of feeling he might be a better value now. Brewer would obviously be a higher priority if Redick is matched though.

I wouldn't call them clear division favorites. They're very close with Milwaukee. Jennings should be improved and they just picked up Maggette for nothing. The Bulls could end up anywhere from 3-8 in the playoff seeding imo. Winning a division doesn't matter anymore anyway as they just seed the playoff teams by record.

Also Redick is a much better player right now than he ever was at Duke. He's actually a pretty complete player now as opposed to just a shooter.

I like Redick a lot and I think it's a really good signing, but he isn't going to get any more open threes than he did with Dwight Howard drawing massive amounts of doubles.

Division winners are guaranteed a top 4 seed, the division winners and other team with best record are arranged by record 1-4, then the 4 other best teams by record are arranged 5-8. So the bulls could be the 4 seed and have a worse record than the 5 seed. So once again I'm 95% sure they are a top 4 seed.

Bulls are one of three teams courting Kurt Thomas, and one of 6 teams going after Raja Bell. Both kind of fit bulls needs, but I'd father see a young team, not 34 and 37 year olds.

If they win the division there's like a 99% chance they have a good enough record for a top four seed so it doesn't matter either way. Nobody really takes divisions seriously in the NBA.

Shaun Livingston to sign with Charlotte, so time to look elsewhere for a backup PG. Bulls are apparently... interested in... oh god... Tracy McGrady. Good thing is he'll snap-sign any min offer from Miami, but if not, it's possible, however unlikely, that the bulls sign both Ammo and T-Mac this offseason. Wow.
