So who's excited for some Bears playoff football?!

Imagine being Ryan Pace

Trading a draft pick to guarantee Foles 20M+ a year ago instead of waiting for either Dalton or Foles to get cut, or just signing any scrub like Jameis for sub 5m

Next year you sign Dalton for 333%-433% more than he got the previous offseason, while Foles still has guaranteed money on 2022s books because you are a ******

Can't wait for Mariota to get 15M from Pace when he gets cut in a few weeks and our 32M dollar QB room has zero NFL starters in it.

**** the McCaskey's

7.5 win total. That’s saying the Bears are a bottom 10 team.

How many years has it been since they got Mack? I guess that window of having an above average D has closed.

So starting Fields gives them some .500 equity? Why not just lose with Dalton and get a draft pick….if they have one lol?

I know I’m a moron Chicagbro fan but I will never stop wondering what happens if parkey hits that kick

Same here. Playoffs in 2/3 last years. I think the Bears got in thanks to Covid last season. I guess the expanded 14 team playoffs are here to stay. That 7.5 total got me a bit depressed, considering it’s a 17 game season.

My Dad was a season ticket holder from the 1980s-early 2000’s. Needless to say, he was pretty ecstatic that the Bears drafted a good QB. The future could be bright with Fields.

If Parkey makes that kick the O still sucks the next week like it had for the previous 6 and the 32 game weeks since.

I'd already bench Eddie Jackson. Robert Quinn has done basically nothing on this team in season 1 and 2.

Even Khalil Mack if the raiders are still offering, gotta think about it.

also the vikings are in first place on tiebreakers having lost to a afc team

(though they lost to the bengals so that alone should put them in last place)

Posted that before the game. Just wanted to bask in a few hours of glory before the inevitable. It's going to be a long season if the defense plays like that.

well that was the worst offensive game I've seen in my life and we've all seen a lot

god just off the top of my head 3 various jay cutler games (NYG (with a worse OL than this group is that 9 sacks in the first half game), one in SF he threw a ton of picks, WAS when he threw three picks to the same guy), that Jimmy Clausen game in Seattle where they punted every drive, Jonathan Quinn, that Todd Collins game against Carolina, a **** ton I forgot about but none of them, none of them at all had the worst total yardage since 1981. when jeff fisher was the punt returner. None of them were so bad the head coach didn't think maybe not to leave the 38 year old guy who was banged up off the fishing boat one on one vs the guy who beat him the whole game. Nope, that still happened.

Everyone on offense was absolute ****. Cole Kmet can't get open can't get the ball. Fields still thinks he's at Ohio State cause he's holding the ball too long in the pocket or scrambling when he shouldn't, also he's not used to seeing someone heading toward his face. All those speedsters they got in the offseason are just whatever guys (except goodwin but he's banged up ) who can't get open unless they can run 50 yards down the field, which they can't with theis OL because they didn't get the OL for that. They realized Fields wants to chuck the ball deep like Rex Grossman did but didn't finish the damn team to do that.

On the plus side, Robert Quinn was great, DL was good, one of the corners seemed fine but everyone else mother of god you were **** today.

but no every single one of those awful games I listed was better than this one. JFC

oh there's a caleb hanie 3 INT 10-3 loss to the Chiefs in there I didn't remember, thanks random people on twitter.

I knew this already about Fields he wasn't as good as people on the net insisted he was, that's fine every rook has to learn and improve but ye gods what a start and it's hard to think he's going to get anythign but bad habits with this staff.

I had forgotten how bad that Henry Burris game was cause I didn't watch it. 7 for 19 for 78 yards and 4 INT only one sack but even that day they got over 200 total yards

Poor fields. He’ll be a backup to a playoff team in 4 years and everyone will be saying we were crazy to think he might be good

Me: This is a perfect buy low/sell high opportunity for Fields/Watson Allen Robinson/Brandin Cooks.

Fields hadn’t exactly hit the ground running…

Discuss.

What happened with Anthony Miller? Thought he was pretty good a couple years ago - ended up getting cut? Injury?
