asking a guy at the bar watching the game what he thinks of jd drew is a good way to determine whether he's a ****** or not. nobody that cares about baseball around here is gonna say "eh, he's ok i guess", you either love him or despise him.

I don't "love" him. I "love" Youk and Pedroia, and yeah, part of it is the fact that they show the stupid **** like heart and intensity. But I would be legit disappointed if Drew was all of a sudden not on the team, because the intelligent part of me knows he's a valuable asset.

Where did I say he was a bad player. Last year when Ellsbury stole home against the Yankees, place is going bonkers, Drew is the closest to the play and yawns.

Either way, nobody has performed well save for Pedroia. But it's cool to hate on Drew for sucking, despite the fact that it's been 13 games, and he has been a very good player, and more than worth his salary the last two years.

in news that doesnt suck, lars anderson went deep again tonight and is at .316/.381/.632 on the year. hopefully he has trade value at the deadline.

yeah i think trading him is the best case scenario. his MLE right now is .256/.310/.462 and i doubt he's hitting that good all year. bad defensive first basemen basically have to put up mark mcgwire lines or being really young to actually perform like top prospects

ugh,

acutally I'm not all that surprised about the start. We have played some good baseball teams. Plus with all this crap about pitching and defense we kind of forget that
a) Sox pitching is overrated
b) Sox don't have a guy who can carry the team (like the Yanks with a-roid or Tex). Pedroia is a spark, but he's not an engine, and Youk, despite being awesome, can't do it all by himself. And, of course, Ortiz just can't get it done anymore.

It is nice to know, however, that trolling other teams is perfectly acceptable as long as it's towards Sox fans. But you guys are right, it's only Boston people that are obnoxious and annoying.
