My only complaint is that the Sox won again with very little World Series drama. We're 16-3 in our four recent World Series wins.

I had the opportunity to see the game in person with my 10 year old son last night. He was born and has always lived in LA, so at the beginning of the series he was wavering on who to support. After last night, the die is cast for all eternity. He has joined the nation, which was a curse when I was his age. My how times change. I had a nice moment to contemplate the time and space between 13 year-old me's broken heart in 1986 and today.

Sox fans absolutely packed Dodger Stadium. We were loud but largely respectful. It was very strange to hear loud "Let's go Red Sox" chants so far from home.

I get why Pearce was MVP, but for my money it was Price.

Kelly has been worth 1 WAR exactly once in his career. He’s got a high ceiling but I would have been annoyed if the Sox offered that much.

I think the deciding factor was LA offered 3 years, the Sox only offered 2.

I'm looking at the Red Sox schedule for the first time. Is this year's schedule more streaky than previous years?

The Sox start with 11 West coast road games (Seattle, Oakland, and Arizona) before their home opener on Tuesday, April 9.

From 4/22 until 5/19, the Sox play 18 of 25 games at home.

That's immediately followed by 14 of 17 games on the road.

From 7/25 to 8/21, the Sox play 19 of 25 games at home.

After the start they've head 5 back in the division and 3 behind the Yankees isn't too bad, but I'll think we'll have to settle for a Wild Card spot this year. At least Sale looks to be BIG TIME BACK
