Was there ever any chance of calling that game off due to rain? It was never really pouring but it seemed like it was pretty steady after the 6th.

Also, reading that last page of the NYY thread was kind of enjoyable, hate to be a poor sport though.

Going to be interesting watching the Penny situation. Seems like dealing him is the best option, but it seems like keeping him around as Smoltz insurance isn't a bad idea. But, he says he doesn't want to pitch out of the pen and we've got Clay in Pawtucket anyway.

His L/R splits have been completely out of whack this year, but you'd think they'd play him tonight against Blanton and have him sit against one or both of the lefties Saturday or Sunday.
