This thing with the Cubs, they don’t actually have anyone negotiating that actually has been in development, so they don’t know the players the Red Sox talk about. They have the CEO of business, and the Assistant General Manager who wasn’t actually involved in the farm system. So, it’s been a difficult negotiation. And frankly, I think everyone involved knows the Cubs are a bottom-three farm system. Trey McNutt would be Red Sox prospect 25. For the Cubs to act like they’re giving up the next Billy Williams is kind of absurd. But at the same time, holding that thing up has also hurt the Cubs, because they need Theo there building that organization. There isn’t a lot there. They need him to go out and not only find a manager, but to fill several roles in scouting, development and all the rest. The absurdity has hurt the Cubs

i did like the report that apparently the sox opening offer was theo, the guy who renovated fenway and john lackey for matt garza

i dont think theyre going from that to theo and the guy who renovated fenway for some ****ty cubs prospect worth like 30% of what the white sox got for ozzie guillen

Simmons' pal Jacko tweeted his outrage today about the Padres' apparent interest in Lackey. Jacko is famous for his suspicion of the "Adrian Gonzalez for Anthony Rizzo" deal with SD, a team currently headed up by a former BOS executive.

im seeing on sosh that szczur has to be on the 40 man roster this offseason. wouldnt be surprised if the sox aren't really interested him bc of that even if hes the only cubs guy good enough to make the tail end of the sox top ten other than jackson

I don't think you know what the word arbitrate means. I was an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association. My decisions were final and unappealable.
