not sure. i doubt he will be. maybe he'll leave, but I doubt it. if theo's the one that fires tito, he's a coward ******.

they had what? 10 game lead at one point? Its all on the players.

Blaming the people off the field is taking the easy way out.

Just in case you guys are wondering where it all went wrong, the above post is from June 10. Boston's record by thread title:

Too Big to Fail: 26-15, .634
We're Better than You and we Know It: 54-46, .540

The Red Sox would have won the division by two games if you guys hadn't changed the title.

Tampa's win tonight was shocking after going into the 8th down 7. But there was nothing shocking at all in Baltimore tonight. I haven't even watched much baseball in September, but knowing what's happened this month, this final death spasm can't be called shocking or unexpected.

And LOL at "I was thinking about how 2003 ended..." I was in tears when 2003 ended. Tonight? Big deal! I've been prepared for the worst since Buccholz got hurt and Lackey made it clear that he had absolutely nothing to contribute.

Other thoughts, as we close out this season:

--It was nice to see Marco actually make a play or two on defense in a big spot. I'm a big Marco fan, was thrilled when we signed him, but as someone mentioned earlier ITT, hit the ball to him in a big spot, and something always seems to go wrong. Even if he doesn't make an error, maybe he just couldn't get it out of his glove quick enough to turn two, we only got the one out at second...any way, he made some plays tonight. Good for him.

--If there's no rain delay after the 6th, does Lester pitch the 7th? And would it have mattered?

--This is 100% sour grapes, but I'll ask it any way: WTF were the O's celebrating? Did they win something tonight? They sure danced around like they accomplished something.

--Even though we came out on the short end, this was an incredible night of baseball, watching the four games that mattered, watching three of them twist and turn like nothing we've ever seen before. SiriusXM's MLB channel has been playing a commercial featuring a clip of Vin Scully calling a WS game in '96, summing up a huge, edge-of-your-seat situation with, "I mean, do you LOOOOOOOVE baseball?" I said that a dozen times tonight, in a dozen edge-of-your-seat moments.

well, they gave us one of the best moments in baseball history for starters. they completed your 99.9% fail by handing you an in game 99.9% fail again, ****s like a 1,000,000 to 1 to happen, tru story.

ur a division rival and they just crushed ur dreams, your season wan't any better than baltimore's.
