I'm happy to say I saw Lavarnway's first hit in KC last month.

So is it pretty certain that both the O's and the Yank's are doing what they can to help the Rays at this point, or is that just paranoia.

I told my wife this morning how the Yankees were going to be pitching all their AAA pitchers today and as usual she came up with a positive. She said well at least they'll be trying hard.

Obviously Verlander is the Cy Young on line one, besting Weaver on line three. But 24-3 is the career of our very own Alfredo Aceves, compiled entirely in the AL East the last few years. Not bad huh?

Aceves simply isn't that good. His ERA is way lower than his FIP and xFIP, for starters.

Also, that post with the stats is kind of dumb. Name this Cy Young caliber pitcher:

10-8 record, 1.71 ERA, 241.2 IP, 154 H, 64 BB, 266 K

it's mike adams, but my point is that almost any decent reliever over a 3 year span will have as good/better numbers than aceves does there. yeah, NLOL (mostly) vs AL BEAST, but who gives a **** that he's 24-3. danny boy bard is 2-9, BFD.
