--Pretty funny moment by the Oakland radio guys: "It looks like Gallagher getting up in the bullpen. It's pretty tough to tell, with everyone wearing #42 today." At other times, he had trouble remembering the names of the Boston catcher and SS, two guys who aren't exactly household names, who had neither their name nor uni number on their back.

--Here's hoping the bats got a little shot of confidence today.

yeah Ortiz has looked baaaad. Hopefully just a slow start. I expected decline, but he's not even putting a charge into most the balls he hits. Even Tek manages a few line drive outs on occasion.

Luckily, Drew is this year's MVP.

i dont really understand why he's the target for so much criticism...he's been super clutch in the playoffs, doesnt make bonehead plays on the basepaths, good defender, solid clubhouse guy by all accounts. cause he gets paid a lot? cause he's a boras guy? i mean, who cares? its not your money.

It's his low key demeanor. Pedroia strikes out and looks pissed, maybe slams the bat and the helmet, the fans go wow he really cares. Drew just calmly walks back to the dugout and gently slides his bat into the rack and takes a seat and the fans think wow this guy doesn't give a ****.
