I don't have a top 10 per se, but a number of things have been wearing on me this season

1. He mails in like every game that isn't nationally televised
2. He hates scoring
3. He assist whores way too much
4. He gambles too much on D
5. He sucks at generating quality looks during end of quarter possessions
6. Many of his turnovers are just boneheaded attempts at home run passes

He overdoes the rolling up the ball up the floor to the point where it's sort of silly, but I cannot recall this ever resulting in a turnover so it's hard for me to care too much when he has so many other leaks that are so much more -EV.

Great series for the Celtics combined with other instances of luck (LOLbulls) made for a nice little 2+2 vacation.

Are they the Celtics of Old (~4 years ago)? Can any one in the East stop them now? Do they have a chance in the Finals?

Garnett is actually playing better than 4 years ago and so is Rondo when he was only a Rookie. Pierce if he can shake off the knee sprain is at least as good but Allen is obviously hobbled. The supporting cast is probably as good.

And it's looking like the East is becoming a battle of attrition with Bosh going down and Miami down 1-2 and Chicago already out with Rose out. So if they can stay healthy the rest of the way,a big if, the Conference suddenly looks very doable.

A final series vs Ok would be pretty cool with Garnett battling Perk etc but I'm not too optimistic about our chances against them.

ehh, garnett is maybe a shade better, he was pretty unreal in 07/08 too. rondo definitely playing better in the wins these playoffs...in the losses he has looked like his stat-whoring self where he cares more about his assist numbers than taking the wide open layups and i think that's cost us, he has also looked a little lazy on D a few too many times leaving our bigs to have to collapse on the other team's PG and then giving them wide open looks when they kick it out. when he turns it on like last game...he looks pretty unstoppable and i like our chances against anyone. i was worried about pierce this round after that knee thing because he looked pretty sluggish and wasn't getting much lift in the first two games, he looked really good in game 3 tho. ray obviously isn't what he used to be with his injuries, luckily avery has been playing way above expectations and seems to be getting better as this season goes on. he's been a nice replacement for some of ray's dropoff

Eh, they aren't the Celtics of old...as amazing as KG has been this year I don't think we can expect him to continue to play at such an insanely high level. But between KG MVP'ing and Rondo stepping up, I think we're close enough such that nobody should be a very heavy fave against us. If the supporting cast contributes from time to time we can beat anybody.

I think the ECF will be riveting no matter who we face (**** Philly, they ain't coming back).

Celtics had a huge lead in game four and then I fell asleep assuming they would bury Philly. I woke up to a tie game and watched that travesty of the final minutes. Glad to hear the C's and Brandon Bass of all people took care of business in game 5. As usual in this series, when KG has a good night they win, (when he doesn't, they lose.)

KG's plus/minus for this series is unreal.

these playoffs have been quite the rollercoaster ride already, every win i feel like we should look like that every night and march on to the finals, every loss i feel like we're washed up and won't win another game

Saturday is Game 7 against the 76ers.

It's also the 25th anniversary of Game 5 against the Pistons in the 1987 Eastern Converence Finals.

Now there's a steal by Bird!

With Johnny Most making the call

Bill Walton's reaction on the bench and Jerry Sichting jumping for joy like a kid are some of the best parts of that play.

Here's a perspective from a Pistons' fan.

How quickly things have turned. Bradley who I believe was the key to going deep (his defense particulary against Wade was phenonenal) was operated on yesterday, Allen who had recovered briefly is hobbled and probably shouldn't even be out there and of course Pierce banged up his knee and is a shell of himself. I don't see how they win tonight but if they do, then what, they have no shot against Miami.

But I love this team, with all they overcame this year, with 2 guys going down with the same rare heart ailment and all the other injuries, remarkable what they were able to achieve.

I didn't get to see alot of the game last night. Were the refs as bad as people were saying?

The national announcers sure thought so, especially on the tecnical fouls.

They had Donahue on WEEI this morning. fwiw, he said they likely decided to set the tone early that the refs are in control of this series and any argument is futile.

It sure seemed like the T on Ray Allen was completely bogus and just called to set a tone, and then same thing with the one on Doc.

Van Gundy flipped out when they T'd up Doc, but they silenced him at half-time and he wasn't allowed to talk about the refs anymore. He made a few remarks that made it obv they gave him the muzzle.

It's painfully obvious that Ray Allen is hurting and should not be playing. While there are no good alternatives, anybody off the bench will give them more than Ray is now. I think we are beyond the point where Ray is going to miraculouly get better and start lighting it up. Sadly, he was even atrocious at the FT line.

I think I have to agree but at the same time I just can't get behind Pietrus or Dooling in his place. Unfortunately, I think the Celts have no choice but to play him.

No one excited about last night? And wtf is going on with Rondo? Suddenly out of nowhere he becomes a great outside shooter? And Doc Rivers is one helluva coach.

Whatever happens, I'm really enjoying this team.

I couldn't understand why Doc took Daniels out with the way he was playing. The Heat went on their big run as soon as he came out too.
