Worthless? He's a perfectly legit bench guy. He doesn't hurt us when he's out there. He's better than Robinson, Wafer or Erden.

Lol, I guess you didn't watch the game yesterday. He played scared and was a big minus every time he was on the court. Of course, god forbid if you ever agree with anything I say.

god forbid you'd ever be right about anything? It's not like I enjoy disagreeing with you. I just really hate being wrong.

Let's say he had a bad game yesterday. It's one game. Let's not go crucifying players after one game, k? He's been fine this year, especially for 3rd/4th man off the bench.

Donkey, he will not be in the playoff rotation, same as last year. You're wrong about him and just enjoy disagreeing with me.

first of all, completely irrelevant. By this logic, nobody should carry more than 8-9 guys on their team if they won't play them in the playoffs.

Secondly, I'm not so sure he won't get minutes in the playoffs this year. Unless they make a trade, they really don't have another SG/SF on the team after the starters. The majority of minutes logged by the team this year has either had PP/Allen or Daniels subbing for one of them. But I guess there's a chance they go small with rondo/robinson/allen or big with pierce/davis/garnett/perk. But I think that Daniels will probably get some minutes that Tony Allen got last year.

Regardless, even if he doesn't, that doesn't mean anything. What it means is that the Celts bench, (when healthy) is very deep. I don't think Daniels is a stud. I think he's an average bench guy. You say he is a minus on the floor. The numbers disagree. Your reasoning for him sucking is a one game sample where he was fairly invisible. Big deal. I saw Luke Harangody own souls a month ago. I'm not predicting him for the HOF anytime soon.

Daniels has played 800 minutes on a very good team. He's not going to put up a shitton of points, but he'll take decent enough care of the ball, and play passable defense. For an 8man, that's good enough for me.

He's just okay against inferior opponents in non pressure games. I don't trust him in games that count. If you want to, be my guest.

Daniels is a solid player IMO, they just fail to utilize him correctly. It really pains me to see him spending his time spotting up in the corners when he has no 3-point shot at all. He's shown some nice post moves and ability off the dribble when given the opportunity. Unfortunately it seems that more often than not they try and have him space the floor, which just makes no sense.

I really believe once Delonte is back and playing in the back court with Nate, Daniels will be able to slide over to the 3 and spend more time in the post and inside the arc in general which should help his game a lot.

Such a fail last night. Not sure why Ray pulled up for 3 with 48 seconds left instead of burning clock. Hell of a shot by J Kidd though.

rondo is annoying me with his overpassing.

tonight in the GS game he's thrown two awful passes to Semih, where even if they get completed it's frickin' Semih, so what's he going to do with it?

i really dont get it, but i assume ainge has a plan/knows something we dont. i'll give them the benefit of the doubt, but god damn this brought my hopes down. i thought this team was perfect (when healthy) and i thought all the pieces were going to fit really well when finally playing together. i really hope the C's vets can accept these new guys and not hold a grudge about breaking up parts of the team

Just heard Perk won't play for 2 to 3 weeks. With him being banged up and also being an unrestricted free agent at the end of the Season, deal doesn't look all that horrible.

just seems to me that they went from possible favorite to maybe 5th best team with that trade. i guess if shaq and JO get and stay healthy, then maybe the downgrade from perk to those two isn't significant, and we improve for the future, but I have zero faith in the two to actually do so.

Donkey, when you say we are possible favorites with Perkins you assume a lot about the condition of his knees. He injured the left knee in June last year and as such is only 8 months out from major knee surgery. Then if that's not enough of a concern, he sprains (thats a partial tear) the ligaments in the good knee (from over compensating possibly) and is on the shelf for up to 3 weeks.

I have to believe the Celtics front office know a lot better than you or I the real status of this guys health. So I choose to not have a knee jerk reaction and say this was a bad trade for the Celts and prefer to see how it plays out.
