They're all the problem. When Claude has guys like Recchi and Thorton to keep people in line he's fine. When he doesn't, the team drifts away. I hope they trade Claude.

I do think there's maybe a decent shot in 2 years if some of the last few picks like Mcavoy and Senyshyn prove to be players. Specially if Pasta keeps improving. Would be really cool to have loaded young studs on the wings with these C's, and a half decent D the way Pits did it.
Seriously, they have a good young team on the ice in the NHL and Providence is stacked with young talent and with Donato still to come in the spring.
I haven't looked at who's contracts are up in the next couple of years, but hopefully they can start letting some of the mid-priced veterans walk away in FA and keep plugging kids in as the current kids get more experience. Then they can pay the best of the kids to keep them in the org.
If Krejci can actually get healthy this year they might even be ready for a solid playoff run this spring.
