1-0, lol game but whatever. Tough Monday night game to start the season on, didn't get much going on the run, Jets line was pretty great even without Jenkins. lol Cromartie. Boldin and Housh were excellent pickups /resultsoriented.

Heap I thought looked really great and even with the crowded receivers, I think he'll have a big bounceback year with his health looking good.

RayRay was great, as usual. Zbikowski needs to learn how to return a punt. And Carr did nicely in place of Webb, but lol SANCHIZE.

This offense is going to be A LOT of fun to watch when they don't have to play against a D as tough as the Jets.

There was nothign tuff there. Both teams SUCKED. Cormartie only had one bad play, the refs made a terrible call on the second.

Flacco threw terrible balls and receivers made great catches. Variance says that is a bad thing.

How is the offense going to be fun to watch. Ravens are in the AFC north. You have to run the ball. Ravens couldn't.

Worst football I have seen two 'Super Bowl Contenders' ever play

this game was expected to be an ugly war in the trenches. two premier defenses just working for every ****ing inch.

Flacco still needs a little time to build some chemistry with his newly aquired offense...it wont take too long, but when he finally does, it will be very good.

This game was pretty much everything everyone expected it to be. I don't think either team played bad by any stretch.

Both defenses played outstanding football... like we all thought they would. One of the big reasons Ray couldn't get anything going on the ground (aside from it being the Jets defense) was that our O-line was depleted. I don't think our line has looked this bad in a while, no matter who the defense. Once we get Gaither back and move Yanda back to the inside (and maybe Oher back to the right side?) I think we'll be able to run the ball much more efficiently and give Joe some extra time in the pocket.

As for Flacco... I mean he wasn't outstanding but I think aside from a few arrid throws (mainly the one to a wide open McClain in the redzone (WTF was that btw?)) he played well.

Heap looked like the Heap of years past, Boldin looked fantastic, Housh made catch to convert on 3rd with that big ass frame, and Mason was just stuck on Revis Island most of the night.

As for the defense, our D-line looked incredible. My only gripe is Redding not picking that ball off to end the game. Once Cody is back I really feel bad for anyone trying to run the ball on us. Ngata may have been the Player of the Game while once again convincing me he is the best DL in the game today.

Ray ray was just bein' ray ray out there today. My only question is when Keller is going to come out of the stupor Ray put him in . Suggs looked alot more athletic today than he did last year. Looks like his offseason went well and that he could make a push for DPOY if he keeps up the ways he's played the preseason and today. Johnson was solid, as always. Didn't hear too much about McClain, but that can't ever be a bad thing.

Our DBs looked really good today, surprisingly enough. Carr was def the most shocking performance of the night. The only other thing I can really say about them other than they were solid is... WTF Zibby? You literally almost cost us the game with that ****ing boneheaded punt return! Looks like we need Webb back for more than 1 reason :-\

All in all it was a great win. I feel as though if we didn't give the ball up 3 f'n times in the first half (quarter?) we would have won this one decisively... but that's why the play the game.

PS: How ****ing good was Joe Cool on 3rd downs today? My lord. If he was ever a 10th of how clutch he was today I don't see how we wouldn't have won every postseason game he played. I like it

@ Cincinnati tomorrow, favoured by 1-2 points depending on where I look. Here's to the offense busting a nut all over Cincy's face!

Busting a nut is difficult when you can't get it up. Flacco was simply horrible. One might even say Bolleresque.

Starting the season with 2 road games against prior year playoff teams is tough for anybody. 1-1 is far from disgraceful. It is a concern, though, when one of your division rivals seems to be making you their bitch on a regular basis.

well said. I wanted that Jets win on primetime more, but this loss stunk, losing within the division while the Steelers go 2-0 without Ben sucks. Really thought after that win and the Pats display that we might be able to take it to the Bengals but no dice.

Flacco was indeed awful. There really isn't much to say about it other than it could be his worst game of the year. Hopefully a home date with the Browns can allow the offense to turn some things around. Rice looked fine though.

Defense still looks good though. Bengals couldn't get it done from the 20 or inside even after the turnovers.

No real point other than to just bitch but man that Suggs roughing-the-passer penalty in the 4th quarter was just bogus. Have to eliminate the penalties and the turnovers.

Suggs call was pretty bad. They got away with a pretty clear PI in the endzone though the play before.

It might have been immediately prior to the tripping call actually (which was also pretty bogus). Still, you make 4 turnovers and only score 10 points, you're going to lose.

lol, no, your post is still as horrible as it was when you made it. would have liked 2-0 but 1-1 is fine with a primetime road opener against one of the best D's in the league, followed by a divisional road opener on short rest. I will be surprised if Flacco doesn't bounce back with a better game at home against the Browns.

Just want to say that Lewis was 100% correct and you guys got ****ing hosed on that tripping call. The roughing the passer was bull**** too.

Lewis was correct about those calls. What about the missed pass interference call that likely took 6 points away from Cincy right before the tripping call? Oh wait...referees in the NFL usually suck equally.

Flacco looked sososo bad. He's not setting his feet at all! This could be due to our OL not being at 100% and kinda being al over the place in terms of whos playing where, but it's imo still rookie mistakes that he shouldn't be making. I thought that's why we brought Zorn in? You can't keep throwing lobs off your back foot every gat damn time if you want to succeed. Add to that Cam called one of the worst games I've ever seen, and I love Cam. Flacco threw ~40 times while Ray ran less than 20 (iirc)? Seems ****ing awful because it is.

Aside from that Housh needs to hold on to those balls. Cmon' man!

Also, take away those 2 BS penalties and you stop 2 different drives that lead to Cincy retaking the lead and we might pull this one out even after looking like ass.

Still pretty bitter, but at least we got the Browns in our home opener to et back on track. Cody will be playing so that's something I look forward to alot!

The calls were irrelevant. They go both ways. The missed pass interference call before those two would have given the Bengals 7. How about not give up the 60 yard kickoff return....

Any Ravens fans heading to Pitt for the game?

I wish.

mixed feelings about the win. Hillis ran all over us which wasn't pleasant, there were some big holes for him to run through but as expected Flacco looked pretty good and his chemistry with Boldin was awesome. so nice having him.

another tough road game coming up. a win @ pit would be so huge indeed

I'm very scared about having to go to Pitt this early with the way we've been playing with them looking so good... Ben or Batch. We haven't won @ Pit since 2006, but this Sunday seems a good a time as any to change that!

Cody has basically been confirmed that he will go, which is ****ing awesome. WRT Hillis raping up last week. I really think a big part of it was us just not being prepared for him at all. We had no idea who he was and could do what he did. It just sucks we had to be the example/send the warning shot to the NFL. Notice how after halftime he was contained and did virtually nothing. We WILL be prepared for Mendenhall. I doubt highly that he has a big day.

Gah. Not sure what else to say. Flacco to Boldin was great. Hopefully they've found their chemistry and keep it up. Boldin is a straight BEAST and I couldn't be happier he's on my team now
