Bet: The Orioles will be .500 or above next season.

What should the line of this bet be to make it 0 EV, given current information right now.

I'm having a debate.

I don't know. I made that bet this year at 1:1 and got raped.

I would say 2-4:1 or something around that. We don't know if this is a fluke or not yet..It still very might be, but in any case, I'm loving it.

also - free agency matters a lot. if they have the same team next year as they do this year and the yankees, red sox, rays, jays add then its going to be another long year. also, they play in the worse division in all of sports.

with 1 win they avoid losing 100 which is a huge accomplishment given how the season started.

bergesen, matusz have been throwing really well. arrieta had his moments. guts has put together a solid season.

the team can win. they just got to be more consistent and avoid the dl

jones and wieters have had pretty disapointing yrs considering what high expectations they had coming in....

matusz and arrieta havent really looked all that great either..

lets hope they stay healthy! could surprise some people if they do and cause some trouble in the al east. i think buck is real key for this team. he brings the right attitude, lets hope it rubs off on the team.

I hate watching baseball for the 1st 30 games and not watching anymore because we are terrible.

+1

Getting 4 runs off Price is no easy task.

Ugh, Matusz out 3-6 weeks so we had to start Britton's service clock. Very excited to see him pitch but really wish it wasnt under these circumstances

What a ****ing game! 2-0 baby!

Looks like Buck has the starting rotation on point right now. Wish Tillman woulda thrown a few more strikes and kept his pitch count down, but I would never dare complain about 6 innings of no hit ball.

Team vets Roberts and Markakis coming through HUGE is always a good sign.

Only thing I'm a bit worried about right now is the pen. They got me scared with every pitch :-/

On a lighter note, I'm super super super excited to see Britton pitch. He's taking Matusz's place after being optioned down to AAA Norfolk during final roster cuts, but he did have the teams best ERA during the spring with something like 1.32.

All in all, couldn't be happier right now

What a game indeed.

Mike Gonzalez is awful. Why is Luke Scott on our team? Get Felix Pie back in LF..

Hey now. Luke Scott was one of our biggest offensive weapons last year. While Pie has much better defense having Scott in the middle of our lineup is an even bigger help.

Remember he was doing a lot of DH'ing last year, but with Vlads ageing we have no choice.

Gonzalez was actually fairly solid last year after he came back from injury. Soooooooo pumped for Britton today, but it seems like we are losing a player to injury after every win.

Yes, he was. But now that we have Jones getting stronger, Lee, Vlad, and Reynolds...we kind of don't need Scott anymore. I'd rather have the speed/defense of Pie any day of the week.

And, I just checked the roster today.

No Scott and Pie is batting 8th.

anyone going to opening day?

I'm picking up my tickets later today. They are great seats a few rows up behind homeplate. They were supposed to be $75 but apparently $20 extra was tacked on because its a premium game...sound legit?

Pie was hitting a lot better at the end of last year.

Luke is soooooooooo streaky. He either strikes out relentlessly for 20 games or maybe has about 5 games of good hitting.
