Things I liked:

- "Cribs" with Willy Mo'. A f***ing PALM TREE?!?!?

- Mike Smith is WAY more charismatic when he's leading people in drills and meetings compared to when he's giving interviews

- Roddy White mic'd up is everything I hoped it would be.

- Matt Ryan's ride is SICK

Things I didn't like:

- Steven Jackson's art exhibit. I don't think I want my lead back to have such a sensitive side.

Sjaxs speech was 2 min too long. I bet sjax likes hanging out in midtown piedmont park

Did anyone watch the game last night? I was done at halftime. That was a despicable performance. Nothing looked close to being polished, people were getting blown off the ball, arm tackles galore and Sam Baker is now out for the year. I know it's preseason so sometimes it's tough to guage what a team is working on/playing with but that looked bad.

I watched

Tj Yates looked horrible

Devonta Freeman looked strong

I saw the mediocre on his best day guy that Dimitroff traded up to draft and then resign lost for the season, again. Hope Matthews learns quick.

The battle for the last receiver spot on the roster is interesting. It looks like Drew Davis is going to start on the PUP list so that opens up a possibility for Bernard Reedy and Amsterdam, Gerardo Boldewijn.

Reedy is supposed to be a speedy deep threat kind of guy, but I think Boldewijn is putting on the best preseason tape.

Guess we'll see.

Bryan Cox

I think Renfree's clearly outplayed TJ Yates for the backup QB spot.

I think Amsterdam (Boldewijn) definitely makes the team before Bernard Reedy does. Size matters.

Hester might be a real weapon at WR. I think Jones/White/Douglas/Hester is the best 1-4 of any WR group in the NFL.

Marshall/Jeffery/whoever/whoever might be good, and Denver's or GB's WR corps might be good, but 1-4 I still like our guys best.

The 1st team offense looked much better. Maybe they won't be as terrible as I and most sprots writers think. I almost wish Jackson pulls a hammy again to see Freeman get lots of playing time. If JJ ,White and Ryan stay healthy all year they will put up some big numbers and thats what they'll have to do to win.

So annoying to see them hand the ball to Steven Jackson twice in OT after Ryan goes for 448 freaking yards

Feel like the team is due to underperform by at least 1 win this season due entirely to bad coaching strategery.

Dirk Koetter but Smith was in his ear I'm sure. That had his fingerprints all over it.

HUGE win for us. It's always great to beat the Saints, and this gives us a leg up in the division.

I love our 4-headed rushing committee. Everyone had at least 1 WOW play.

The defense didn't look great, but luckily we won't have to face Drew Brees every week. I'm most concerned about the pass rush, it was largely non-existent. I loved that on all 3 deep shots Brees took, Trufant or Alford broke it up cleanly.

Matty Ice is BACK, and Money Matt Bryant is as consistent a professional as there is in this league!

I'm so happy right now

You guys realize Matt Ryan going elite status this year right? It's weird to say this but Tony G retiring may actually help his growth as a QB. Now he can look to other weapons, instead of relying on a security blanket. I really liked the way he involved both Hester/Douglas today, that's what he needs to do with all the attention on Julio/Roddy. Spread the wealth the way a Brees does and he's going to find some really open targets.

Pass rush still sucked but the effort was there and the aggression carried on throughout the game. Worrilow might lead the league in tackles although his coverage leaves a ton to be desired and I was pleased with what the DB's did when Brees challenged them down the field today. Team made the plays when they needed to make them, especially after a start that looked like the Saints might give us a little spanking in the dome.

Very happy but like any coach will say "tons to work on, a lot to improve" Love what we're trying to do with our RB's as well. Outside of S Jax who looks ridiculously slow, Quizz/Freeman/Smith can all contribute in some way and it'll help with keeping the defense honest and guessing going forward.

Matt Bryant you're a stone cold G! Has anyone heard any updates on Jake? Know he left stadium in a boot as a precaution. Felt like the line played well today too. You don't put up those numbers without most of them playing particularly well, but man if Jake is out for a period going to be tough. Once again though goes to show how solid Ryan is. Doing that with a ton of question marks surrounding our line, entering this game against a Rob Ryan blitz happy defense is something else.

Headed to Cincy next week which makes this WIN even more special, because their defense definitely showed out for the most part today even if it was against Flacco.

Jake maffews update?!???

Mathews injury not as serious as first thought..can play this week if he isn't too sore. But he'll probably be held out a week imo..not the worst idea

Being from Montreal, I have to hate the Braves, but i've been a Falcons fan for the last 22 years. Got a Falcons winter jacket when I was 15 (didn't have a fave team at the time) and have been a fan ever since. Saw them beat the Bills in Toronto last year. Bucket list includes a trip to Atlanta to see them, hoping to get it done before i'm 40.
